Otter Pop-Up! A great pun accompanied by better food, paired with elevated cocktails. Swing by the Easy Otter 9/15/26 from 6-9 PM to sip and savor some scrumptious Southern service.

The Shrimp Toast is paired with a simple tipple: "Benedict Arnold Palmer." Tea-infused London Dry Gin, lemon juice and Benedictine combine for a treasonous twist on the golfer's favorite beverage.

A Blackberry Hush Puppy with Feta Mornay compliments "Little Miss Moonshine," a clarified watermelon Margarita made with the eponymous moonshine.

For dessert, you are beckoned to the best: Banana Bread Pudding with Crème Anglaise. To wash it down, a referential (and affordable) "One Banana, Michael," a fetching, full bodied Old Fashioned inspired by the classic New Orleans Bananas Foster.

Come one, come all, drink all, eat all.

Day 2 | Part 2 — Salem, Oregon

After making our early escape from Washougal Motocross, we hit the road from Washington ➜ Oregon and finally made it to The Grand Hotel in Salem for the night.

Once we got checked in, there was only one thing left on the agenda… FOOD!

Dinner was at The Easy Otter Southern Kitchen, and this place absolutely hit the spot. We split the delicious “Canyonera” chicken sandwich with garlic fries, added a fried chicken thigh on the side, and somehow still found room for dessert.

And dessert definitely deserved its own moment…

“Good God, Lemon!” Beignets 🍋🤤

That name pretty much sums them up!

Motocross in Washington ➜ road trip into Oregon ➜ hotel checked in ➜ ridiculously good Southern food.

I'd say Day 2 treated us pretty well.

Next up… Day 3 and a LOT of hiking.
