Saturday night in the Southbay, this time, at one of our long time favs, @eat_mbpost

The town was alive, and MB Post did not disappoint with Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits, 🍝 Cavatelli Al’Arrabbiata, Skirt Steak , Glazed Half Chicken 🍗 With Alabama BBQ, Crispy French Fries , Blistering Blue Lake Green Beans, & the Chef’s Special, Short Rib with Buttery Mashed Potatoes 🥔 All this paired with a beautiful French Rose 🍷

Chef Lefevere’s artisan menu of small shared plates, hand-crafted cocktails, and small production makes M.B. Post one of the moat iconic Southbay restaurants in our book 📕 !

Michelin-starred chef, David LeFevre. Renowned for his fine-dining experience and seafood mastery.

Walked over to Baccio di Latte for dessert, and then a cool evening walk home 🏠

Brunch at Manhattan Beach Post is a little more interesting than your usual eggs-and-coffee situation. The menu has familiar brunch favorites, but with creative flavors and interesting combinations. @eat_mbpost

It’s right in the heart of Manhattan Beach, just a few blocks from the ocean, which also makes it an easy stop before or after a walk by the beach.

Definitely one to save if you’re looking for a good brunch in Manhattan Beach.

Espresso martini with ube is mind-blowing 😉

You name the neighborhood, we’ll give you a restaurant that brings that part of town to life. Swipe through and build your LA wishlist. Overhead view of a wooden dining table filled with an inviting spread of dishes including sliced steak, roasted fish, vibrant vegetables, and craft cocktails at Alta Adams, one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles.

Morning Sessions at The Arthur J. Nosotros Reposado Espresso Martini. Come try it during brunch at Arthur J Sundays.

Avila’s Heir at MB post. Nosotros Reposado, mandarin, yuzu, and Serrano. Bright, citrusy, with a little kick.

Golden Hour at Fishing with Dynamite. Ancho chili-infused Nosotros Reposado, pineapple, ancho honey, and lime. Sweet, spicy, and made for golden hour.

Ok, so we all know I’m biased 🙃 but I just have to post my favorite dishes from my favorite restaurant group in the South Bay of Los Angeles. 🫶🏻

1. Ryla’s oysters are a non-negotiable. They switch up the type of oyster and how they dress them and they are quite literally *chefs kiss*.
2. Fwd’s famous hamachi sashimi. Thinly sliced yellowtail tuna, apple ponzu, guac and sliced Serrano pepper 🤤 dream.
3. Ryla’s Nigiri is 10/10. My go-to is the blue fin tuna. It truly melts in your mouth.
4. FWD’s raw bar is just the absolute best around. The oysters come in daily and the Peruvian scallops are perfection. There are multiple platter options, or you can build your own and go wild.
5. MB Post’s sesame focaccia is a new addition to the menu, and omg. It’s crispy and doughy all at once and comes with a side of whipped ricotta and hot honey. 🔥
6. FWD’s summer soba noodles. The current iteration comes with lightly cured salmon, sweet summer corn and tsuyu sauce. A cool noodle dish perfect for the warm weather.
7. AttaGirl’s capicola + salami sandwich. Makes me drool just thinking about it. House made rosemary smoked salt focaccia, arugula and sharp provolone. Insane.
8. FWD’s koshihikari rice is a risotto style seafood rice that has been on their menu since they opened 13 years ago! The rice itself is overnight soaked in a chicken dashi, then then cooked with crab, shrimp and uni. It’s topped with a perfect egg yolk which you stir in for the best comfort meal of your life.
9. MB’s post skirt steak has been on the menu for years and for a very good reason. Their red chimichurri is my absolute fave, along with the grilled broccolini. To die for (they also offer this on the brunch menu, steak and eggs style).
10. FWD’s life changing key lime pie. Historically, I would never choose a citrus dessert, but I’d choose this one every damn time.
11. AttaGirl’s basque style cheesecake is 🤩🤩. It comes atop a Seville orange marmalade and is perfectly caramelized on the outside.
12. Last but certainly not least is my mom and I’s favorite sweet treat from RYLA: their homemade Ube ice cream. Perfect combo of creamy and sweet, served over crunchy corn flakes. 1000000/10.

THE FACTS ABOUT THE MANHATAN BEACH 6-MAN!

• 🏫 A schoolteacher’s side hustle became legend — Charlie Saikley started it in 1974 as a summer program for local kids.

• 🎉 It ballooned into a full-blown beach circus, pulling in 50,000–60,000 fans at its peak.

• 🚔 Got so rowdy the city literally moved it off weekends to calm things down.

• 🦸 Costumes are mandatory-in-spirit — teams show up in themed getups every year, some sticking with the same look for decades.

• 🏐 Still going strong 50+ years later, now the marquee event of Manhattan Beach’s International Surf Festival

Huge shout out and thanks to my brother, Robb Stroyke, @robbstroykespg, for a few clips!👏🏽💪🏽
