Your flavor passport has arrived. 🍜🌎

For @eater_events and @maruchan_inc , we created a Japanese inspired activation where football, global flavors, and gourmet ramen came together.

Each #Maruchan dish represented a different country, elevated by Michelin starred chef @chefshota and brought to life through an immersive experience designed to make instant ramen anything but ordinary.

A world of flavor, one bowl at a time.

@eater World Food Fest - this is the crowd at like 1-2pm when the storm stopped. Overall fun event and it's a good way to spend the day if you didn't pay the $30 for GA

Me being me came early and enjoyed the free food with no lines. I didn't take a pic of Lifeway Kefir (it's my go-to kefir honestly). And one other free bite I didn't like much so I won't mention it since it was free anyway

@maruchan_inc - They showcased a few different ways to use their ramen. A spicy korean cold noodle using their spicy creamy chicken noodle, a hiyashi chuka using their maruchan gold, and a USA ramen & cheese ball using the chicken ramen. I listed it in the order of how I liked it but it never occurred to me that I could use instant noodles for my chilled noodles instead of going for soba.

Soooo now I'll likely use these chilled noodle recipes for Anime NYC with a bit of adjustment as it'll be sitting in my bag all day during then

@ediblemanhattan - I tried their cheesecake which was a bit sweeter than I’m used to but overall still tasty

@cathaypacific - They showcased a few dishes throughout the day. I got the Beef Adobo Short Rib that was tender and the calamansi pickled onion was a great addition

Their Hong Kong styled che cheung fun came with a few different sauces which was exactly as described - rice cakes with peanut hoisin sauce and hot sauce

Nice treat by @dolesunshine for a few of their goodies

@goldenhofny had a Busan Lobster Roll ($15) which was delicious. I appreciate a good lobster roll especially since I didn’t go up to Maine this year. The garlic soy aioli and scallion milk bun were also a great use to showcase their personal style. I wouldn't be mad getting a full one for a happy lunch/dinner

@bangkoksupperclubnyc had their Pork Jowl bowl ($15) which was the best advertisement ever. I want to go to their shop now, get this and everything else from them because the jowl was super tender, and if the pork was a left hook then the garlic rice was a right. Just a giant flavor bomb and texture bomb with the pork crackling pulling this together.

Skipped the fireworks and took advantage of it being the perfect time to grab a hard to get restaurant reservation instead.

Ticked @cotekoreansteakhouse off our New York bucket list. Worth every cent.

Keeping up with regular routine:

Two thing I try not to break every week is 4x workouts (usually a mix of running 🏃🏻‍♀️ , @sltnyc 🧘🏻‍♀️@soulcycle 🚴🏻‍♀️& @heatwiseyoga 🧘🏻‍♀️) + 15mins daily weights 🏋️ (Franklin always must help).

I find this easiest to start the day early and gaurentee the time for myself doing this before the rest of the day starts.

Is there a correlation between eating at Mission Ceviche (@missionceviche) and being amazing at soccer, chef Kalleja Vasquez (@kallejavasquez)? We’re willing to find out!

At Eater World’s Fare, we teamed up with Morton (@Mortonsalt) to see if chefs’ soccer skills matched their talents in the kitchen. From passing the ball to dribbling to juggling, some were quite impressive while others were… very creative 😂. We’ll come back to you for the basketball version of this video, chef Sam Yoo (@goldendinerny)!
