@harwell.cory has always cooked nostalgic #food better than most, and at @butcherandthief he and the team have put together some fun and accessible dishes at a great price point with friendly service and a nice setting.

#sunday #brunch watching football definitely goes better with carrot cake french toast, philly cheese steak egg rolls, cocktails half the price of a strip steakhouse and the best banana cream pie in town.

It takes a good reason for me to go out for #brunch
And the $40 prix fixe at @naxos.taverna is a great reason
Sure we added some extras, but you're not beating that price anywhere in a #casino for food of this quality
The #shakshuka and lemon #pancakes are great, and where else in town are you getting lamb chops and grilled fish this good at noon?

In terms of consistency you won't find a better spot in #chinatown than @shanghai_taste

Between catering and the four restaurants I've eaten Jimmy's #food sixty times and never once had a subpar bite

Love the new #lobster and chicken #xiaolongbao

#brunch is what's up at @barbohemelv where $55 gets you a choice of #appetizers #entree and exceptional #pastry from @jyergi

From the duck a l'orange benny to stunning smoked salmon #crepe cake it's all good, but the stars are the tomato tartine, chicken cordon bleu sandwich and porridge

In a city where #spring is far too short @sdgriffin is making the most of it at @jgsteakhouselv #lasvegas

From asparagus to #morels and ramps to rhubarb and @harrysberries on #foiegras this is more than just a #steakhouse and always has been

Sure, you could spend $600 at the @alinearestaurant popup at Bellagio, or you could spend less than a quarter to #supportlocal with more innovative #food

What @oscarlv360 and @_roberto_higuera put together for the @amadorcocinafina x @braseriabyedo dialogue was exceptional.

If you want Alinea, fly to Chicago. If you love #lasvegas and want to see our most creative chefs thrive spend your dollars more wisely

"I'm from New York, I know Pizza" is about the level of expertise it takes to claim you know good food in Las Vegas. Every "expert" thinks they know the "best"

Fact is, from New York to Naples to Sao Paulo and Rome I've never seen a Sicilian pie that stands up to the 86th Street at @metropizzalv

And if you're lucky enough to get one from the hands of @johnnypizzaguy I'd be willing to bet you'd feel the same.

Don't agree? Send me the leftovers and your bill, I'll take care of both.

Continuing the theme of excellence, this fritter from Friendly Donut House in Henderson. While Vegas has plenty of absurdly overwrought concepts like Saint Honore, this donut is perfect. Not too greasy. Lots of apples. Fluffy but crispy. Mildly sweet but not too much.

No website. No Instagram. No shill influencers. Just a great product made the right way by people who have been doing it a long time. Across 256 or more fritters tasted across the USA only Colorado Donuts in Eagle Rock California comes close.

The longer I live in Las Vegas the more convinced I become that there really aren't any "destination" restaurants here. No matter what the influencers and PR people want to tell you the "best" spots in town are rarely the "best" and often are barely competent. One of the exceptions, however, is the Almond Croissant at Rosallie. In the decade since they opened on Rainbow I've yet to find a better one in the world, and if you know me you know I've done some research.

Kudos to Jonathan and Christophe for everything this is, from the butter and lamination to the ground almonds and lack of frangipane. 🥐 ✨
