Solitary, but graceful ballet in monochrome. Got enough to fill a book, damn near. My second favorite thing to shoot though, especially with someone as great to work with as Liz.

As I get back to working more and start taking more time for myself, I've been thinking of how amazing my time with Rue has been so far! My favorite parts of motherhood have been experiencing all of our firsts together. 🤍 Bringing my baby to ballet class, introducing her to the studio, the music, and my world has been such a special experience. 🩰✨ I love sharing these because I know it won't last forever and I one day want to show her the special time we had. (She's already 23lb as of today's 9 month Doctor visit!) so I know I won't be able to keep this up for long.
I greatly appreciate each studio that has been so supportive to welcome us in during this period. We will forever remember these memories made! ❤️

It has been really awesome to connect with other mothers online! 💪 sending love to all moms out there. 🩰

All smiles and abs this week😁
Here’s some ways I keep everyone happy and comfortable in my shoots:

1. Play music— loudly. Vibes have to be right from the moment they step in, or it’ll be an uphill battle getting it right later

2. Get invested in your model’s successes. I’m here to help; if I need to be an emotional rock, a source of mental support, a glass to cheer with, or a pillar for physical self-rediscovery, I’ve got to be present for my clients and models (that’s why I’m protective of my people)

3. Give your shoots time, effort, and attention in planning. Clarity, direction, and calm put people at ease— all of which come with doing your homework before shoot time. Communicate the nerdy things you find for your shoots and don’t be insecure about your passion

Our first Mother’s Day weekend together… 🩰💗

I’ll never forget the endless support, long car rides, and every sacrifice my mom made so I could chase my dream. She never pushed me toward who she thought I should be, she simply listened, believed in me, and stood beside me every step of the way.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized how rare and beautiful that kind of unconditional love and support truly is. Ballet has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I would never have had this career without my mother beside me through it all. I've loved every performance knowing she was in the audience prouder than ever even on the shows I felt were not perfect.

Now getting to spend Mother’s Day all together sharing that beautiful gift feels especially meaningful. 🤍

Thank you Mom ❤️ I love you.

And a big thank you to @brookhavendance for providing a beautiful dance space and class for us to thrive in. 🩰
