We stopped by The National Military Monument in DC after finishing the DC Half to look up my dad’s name on the monument.

While at Cannon Beach we tried Public Coast Brewing Company. They had sooooo many blueberry flavored options. They even had a blueberry cream soda that we got for the road.

Next up was Cannon Beach. We saw some starfish, puffins, and even a bald eagle. They had a bit of everything at this beach! It was also perfect weather for a nice stroll along the ocean.

We had many great coffee experiences in Portland. This was the only one that we came back for a second round though. Never Coffee was fantastic! @neverlab

Day 5! Our final day hiking the Three Sisters Loop. This was a wonderful hike. We always enjoy our hikes in Oregon. Can’t wait to plan our next adventure out this way! 🌲🌲🌲

We made it back to the trees! After a hot day in the sun and next to no water we had a nice day with tree cover and water everywhere! To top it all off this was one of our best campsites. Overlooking the lake below. Time to drink as much water as we want and rehydrate ourselves!

Day 3 hiking the Three Sisters Loop. This was a hot one! A large part of the hike for day three was through a section of the trail ravaged by recent forest fires. This made the trail super exposed to the sun. The heat coupled with the lack of water on this section of the trail made for a tough day! 🥵

Day 2 on the Three Sisters Loop. Another day of backpacking through this amazing area. I loved how the landscape changed as we worked our way around the mountains.

First day of hiking the Three Sisters Loop (plus a bit extra since we couldn’t secure a permit). Beautiful views inside the Deschutes National Forest Three Sisters Wilderness.

Day 9. The final day of hiking the Kerry Way. Norah’s feet were bothering her again so I did this one solo. Completed the loop and made it to the spa we booked for the evening for some much needed R&R. This was an amazing trek, can’t wait for the next one! 🥾
