Today has been a really tough day for my @hillfreedmanrecords family.

We have all been forced to process the devastating loss of one of our students, Rodney Hargrove. He was shot and killed this morning, at age 20.

As God would have it, I was already scheduled to come in today for a recording with another HF student, @__.ebonyy. Having the immediate opportunity to work with her and my dear friends Zeke Thurman (@talkwithtiffany), @theworldistyte and @mrmachos, I am reminded why I do the teaching artist work that I do (thank you @davidbradleyarts). Congrats to Ebony on the recognition she is getting from ‘Little Kids Rock’ for a song she wrote and we recorded back in 2018. We are now re-recording that song, ‘I Forgive You’, so she can be featured in their upcoming award show/gala. Onward and Upwards.
