Alright here we go! I never thought of myself as a recording artist. I wanted to try on this new version of myself. @dattinman I sat down at a microphone with my notebook and took six months by myself to build something that I am very proud of. My very first EP and it’s self produced. Let me know what you think! The link is in my bio and also right here! Linktr.ee/tinman1989

P.S. Apple Music is still playing in my face and isn’t finished processing the release 🙄🙃 but hopefully will be done within the next few days.

I can’t believe my time in Illumination this year is already over! I can’t really express how much I needed this experience this year. I’m so grateful for single person, cast member, crew member and staff member. It truly was a social experience that I’ll cherish forever. To the rest of the family have an amazing last two shows! I miss you all already! Keep sharing your light, you have lit mine with so much warmth.

On this last day of Black History Month I want to recognize a black pioneer who means the world to me! My mother, Karen Clark-Green .

She was born and raised in Warren, Oh and spent most of her life cultivating the arts community of Youngstown, Oh. She began acting around age 9 and during teenage to young adult years performed as a member of the singing group LUV and Onyx Experience. She studied opera at The American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. As well as Youngstown State University and The University of Akron. She obtained a Master in Music and vocal Performance and an Associate of Arts degree. She was an original member of the famed and notable Kenley Players along side such actors as Betty White, Robert Goulet, and Paige O’Hara.

She opened Youngstown’s first black traveling dance theatre, Archangel Dance Theatre as well as being the visionary and founder of Jazz in the Park also in Youngstown, Oh. She is an actress, model, author, opera singer, teacher, mentor, playwright, director, ordained minister, choreographer and a mother of 4 and grandmother of 8. She has trained and jump started the careers of several notable people in the Youngstown/Warren area. She has written and directed several plays and events that premiered at The Youngstown Playhouse, Stambaugh Auditorium, McDonough Museum, and DeYor Performing Arts Centre formally known as Powers Auditorium. She is a National Screen Actors Competition winner. She was one of the stars of the Amazon Prime drama Mafia Ties as well as appearing in several movies including With This Ring, Round on Both Sides, and Concussion. In her 66 years as an actress she has performed in numerous plays including Man of LaMancha, The King and I, Phantom of the Opera, Porgy and Bess, Carmen,South Pacific, Peter Pan,Kismet, Bye,Bye Birdie and most recently Murder on the Orient Express. Her students have traveled nationally and internationally gracing notable stages including dancing for The Pope and Nelson Mandela. They have become stage and screen actors as well as teachers themselves.

As we celebrated her 75th birthday this year we could not ignore the contributions she has made to the arts.
