After 5 years, I cut my hair.

Not because I needed a change.
Because I was finally ready for one.

For the past 5 years, I’ve been holding onto grief.
Holding onto a version of myself that knew my grandmother.
Holding onto an image I was afraid to let go of.

But here’s what I learned:

You can’t heal what you won’t release.

The haircut isn’t about the hair.
It’s about acceptance.

Acceptance of what was.
Acceptance of what is.
Acceptance of what will be.

Grief doesn’t leave. But the person you become through it?
That person gains a deeper appreciation for the simple moments.
For the people you love.
For the life you’re still building.

Long hair, short hair, heartbreak, new love, new wins—
Whatever comes next, I’m ready.

New season. Let’s go 💪

👉 To everyone on their own healing journey: It gets better. You grow beyond the grief. Drop a 🙏if you needed this today.
