LUNCH! (Mother's Day 2/3)

I somehow managed to fit everything into one part. You guys already saw the menu (see previous post) , so you know what this is but what you don't know is that I served lunch at 5pm 😂😂. It really was a hectic day, but good things come to those who wait and this was honestly the 'goodest'!

My garlic parmesan wings were especially a hit, and that Mango-Basil-Pepper sauce was to die for! It was sweet and sticky and spicy, which to me, is a perfect bite. With three sauces on the table, I decided to leave my cabbage, cucumber, and carrot salad undressed, which provided a freshness as well as a refreshing crunch.

I've been experimenting with making my own sauces/condiments recently, and like most sauces I've recreated, making barbecue sauce from scratch really lacks the intensity of preserved sauce without compromising any of its bold flavours.

The tuna croquettes were creamy and delicious (albeit salty, but that was fixed with the addition of bbq sauce). They were oven baked, and didn't quite get to the golden brown colour I'd have preferred, but there's nothing some good lighting and a quick touch-up can't fix!

Can't wait to show you guys what I did for dinner!
