Don’t forget to focus on picking technique. Maybe more important than fretting hand!

This is how Eric Clapton approaches the major 3rd degree while soloing in minor pentatonic. He is definitely a master of his craft. Be sure to check out the full lesson on my YouTube Channel if you haven’t already.

As a guitar teacher one of the most common questions I get asked is how do you mix major and minor pentatonic when phrasing. My answer - look no further than Eric Clapton’s first solo on ‘Crossroads’. Full lesson video will be live on YouTube Channel at 2pm EST. Check it out!

Tonight, Buddy Guy will share the stage with a who’s who of guitar heroes, including Eric Clapton, for “Buddy’s Got The Blues: A 90th Birthday Concert Celebration” at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

I wonder whether @therealbuddyguy and @ericclapton will bang out Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love” like Buddy did — with a drumstick and a towel — during his visit to the Hollywood Bowl in September…

As far as Eric Clapton songs go, this one has to be pretty close to the top of the list for me!

Magnolia - Eric Clapton & John Mayer, I absolutely love classic blues songs and this is one of my favorite JJ Cale cover songs

Album of the day. 1966
