Emanuele Catellani in OMBRADIFOGLIA.

ECC è uno studio indipendente di art advisory e curatela strategica in arte contemporanea, fondato e gestito da Emanuele Catellani.

ECC è anche uno spazio espositivo dedicato, dove le opere vengono presentate in dialogo diretto con il pubblico, su appuntamento.

Alla fine di ogni ciclo espositivo Emanuele Catellani realizza un suo self portrait accanto all’opera esposta, da oggi in un outfit interamente Ombradifoglia pensato da Elena Pignata, come in una collezione parallela che prende vita negli spazi della galleria e diventa un album inedito di ritratti frutto dell’incontro di due persone eclettiche a confronto.

‘Violet’ explores the nostalgic sentiment derived from something as commonplace as patterned glass. Fascinated by both aesthetic and functional aspects of the long-standing glass form, the material is repurposed into a geometric glass sculpture.

The patterned glass breaks the flowers’ exuberant colors up into illusive tones that resemble an abstract painting. The glass serves as the canvas and the flowers as the paint.

This combination creates an illusion with an interplay of transparency, blurriness, visibility and distance. Revealing something unexpected and appealing from every angle – a three-dimensional still life.
