Just nerdy marine scientists arguing over what this thing in a tide-pool is. This worm-looking critter is actually a beaded sea cucumber. This footage was from a class trip I took to Cuba through @eckerdglobaled (an amazing opportunity, I highly recommend to any future Eckerd students)!

Sorry…we’re in our feels. 😅

Autumn Term is officially underway as Eckerd welcomes the class of 2030 (Can you believe it?!). What began as “Project ’73” is now a core part of the College’s first-year experience. The hustle and bustle of move-in is making us feel nostalgic—reminisce with us in the comments. 🥹

Thank you for your hospitality and the opportunity to experience your beautiful culture. Between the diving and the the work we were able to do with the Sea Turtles, I will forever treasure these moments as core memories. Thank you to all the staff at Guanahacabibes National Park for the work and research you do. Still missing yall 🫶

Thank you to Eckerd College and Prof Jorge for putting together an excellent life changing trip!

Together, the Eckerd community invested more than $13 million over the past academic year to sustain the distinctive programs that define an Eckerd education—including scholarships, global education experiences, hands-on research and internship opportunities, athletic pursuits, maritime rescue and lifelong learning.

Experiences like these don't exist without the support of our community. From all of us, thank you for believing in our students and in what's possible when we come together. Here's to another year of changing lives. 🌊🐚🫧
