Getting back to my safe space after last month's chaotic hellscape of a show. Back on the digital wheels of steel playing forward facing Grime, emotional UKDrill and Hard Ambient with a bag of unreleased new tunes from fellow artists around the world

Ecko Bazz | NIGHTMARE SONG
Based in Kampala, Uganda, Ecko Bazz brings you clattering, MC-led club tracks loaded with energy. They belong to the Ugandan label, Hakuna Kulala, (who recently collab’d w my favorite label: China's SVBKVLT crew: PLEASE scope Slip A & Slip B on Bandcamp - itholistically dope). Ecko Bazz is part of a collective called Nyege Nyege，see also: Nihiloxica

MENZI | IMPAZAMO
Menzi is a Durban based purveyor of my recent obsession: Gqom: a raw, hypnotic percussion driven sound born from the growing club scene in Durban, South Africa. It was largely popularized by a collective called GQOM OH!. Menzi’s own coinage of “futuristic gqom” is deeply fitting for the nexus of industrial and techno electronics on this six-tracker. This is serious stomping music. Also check out GQOM OH! (youtube), the Crudo Volta mixtape, & Emo Kid’s interview.

KMRU | VARIATIONS
Joseph Kamaru (KMRU), is a sound artist, and producer based in Nairobi. He is notable for making intelligent atmospheric and emotionally experimental electronic music, giving a personal touch using everything from gritty indigenous sounds to field recordings to create intricate sonic soundscapes. Also peep his set on Salty Surfaces (soundcloud), and his interview on Ableton’s YT channel.

Bath Consolidated | FRANCHISE
Based in Peculiar, Missouri this industrial sound collage artist born out of the Kansas City punk scene to bring you blasts of noise, techno, and hardcore. She’s recently become a member of the queer/trans electronic collective UN/TUCK. I recommend her set from Energy Fest on her SC too

Moor Mother | BY THE LIGHT
Philly Based artist, Moor Mother, toes the line in performances between spoken-word poetry, public exorcism, and jet-engine levels of manicured sound. Her more recent album (Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes), is composed of intricate sonic collages and looped vocal incantations, depicting various points in black history, from the cotton and sugar plantations of the US south to the LA riots in 92

93SOVAGE | WRONG PORTAL
Based in Bagnolet France, Ade Maik Gnakowski makes some proper industrial, hardcore techno, with some elements of noise and dancehall

As it’s finally raining and thundering in Zagreb today it’s a perfect setting to post some info about my latest mix — done for @earlyreflex’s @rbltorino show in promotion of our VA compilation, out tomorrow — broadcast a week ago.

It’s a dense, restless collection of tracks and samples, not easy on the ears, but its harsh offence never outmatches its empathy. Had something under half an hour for it, so it retains a hurried, frustrated quality to it.
Happy to have shared airtime with @h.murd, @sonia_calico, and @hence_therefore, who’ve all contributed ecstatic manoeuvres to the show.

The mix is in my bio if you want to check, with my contribution kicking off at about an hour into the show.
