Southend Girls Walks & Socials has become so much more than just “a girls group” 🥹🎀

It’s watching girls who came along not knowing anyone start forming genuine friendships. It’s the random chats, laughs, little memories and seeing everyone slowly become more comfortable around each other 🫶🏼

I started this because I wanted to create the kind of space I know so many of us needed somewhere you can turn up on your own and not feel like you’re on your own 💌

And honestly, it’s become a safe space for me too.

We’ve already made so many memories together and we’re only just getting started ✨ From walks and socials to dance, days out, parties and everything else we’ve got planned… I’m SO excited for what’s to come.

Thank you to every single girly who has joined, come to a meet, messaged in the group, helped behind the scenes or simply supported what we’re creating 🥹

And we’re still welcoming more girls! 🎀 If you’re 18–25, based in Southend or the surrounding areas and looking to make new friends, you’re more than welcome to come and join us. Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone so many of our girls joined completely on their own 💌

✨ WHAT’S COMING UP ✨

🎢 Adventure Island meet 20th September
💃 Girls dance session 10th October with @larashakespeare @eclipsedance.co
🎃 Halloween Party — 29th October at @alexbarsouthend
☕ More chilled walks, coffee dates & socials
🎀 Plus lots more being planned behind the scenes!

You don’t have to come to every meet just pick the ones that feel like you! Whether you love a big night, an activity or something a little more chilled, we want there to be something for everyone 🫶🏼

Here’s to more friendships, more memories & lots more girlhood 🎀💐

GIRLS SUPPORTING GIRLS 🎀🫶🏼
One of the biggest inspirations behind creating Southend Girls Walks & Socials actually came from being surrounded by the girls I dance with. 🥹💗
I’m still a beginner, and sometimes it takes me a little longer to pick up certain moves or get a routine, but I’ve never once felt judged for that. Instead, the girls hype me up, encourage me and notice the progress I’m making each week and that feeling means more than they probably realise. 🥹💃🏼
It’s never about being the best or getting everything perfect. We celebrate each other, laugh together and genuinely want to see one another doing well. 🎀
Experiencing that made me think about all the girls who might not feel like they have that kind of support in their own lives. Maybe you feel alone, struggle to make friends or simply wish you had more girls around you who genuinely cheered you on.
That’s exactly the kind of space I wanted to create with this group. 🫶🏼
A place where you can come alone, be completely yourself, try new things without worrying about being judged, meet new people and hopefully find girls who will be in your corner. 💗
So this is just a little appreciation post for all the girls I dance with, our lovely instructor and the supportive environment that helped inspire what I wanted this community to stand for without them even realising it. 🥹💃🏼🎀

Dancing to Into You by Ariana Grande genuinely felt like SUCH a dream 😭🩷 If you know me, you know how much Ariana and her music mean to me, so getting to dance to one of her most iconic songs felt so special. 🥹✨
Definitely one of those little “is this actually my life?” moments. I had SO much fun with this one and I already want to do it all over again 😭💃🏼🎀
