The exterior setup features a Van Compass Stage 2.3 suspension system, Opti-Rate heavy-duty rear leaf springs, Black Rhino Outback wheels, BFG KO3 all-terrain tires (275/70/17). The exterior build includes Rover Gear ladder and tire carrier combo alongside Rover running boards for easy vehicle access. Exterior Fiamma F80s awning secured with Fiamma F65 mounting brackets, while lighting and glass upgrades include auxiliary Rigid black LED lights and Broad Arrow curved window. The Fairytale.

This was by far our most complicated day to shoot for the @forksfilmfest’s opening film. I used literally everything I had available to me to make this work!

First, I lit the background with my @litepanels Gemini 2x1 Hard and @godoxlighting VL300 on my two @shapewlb 14’ light stands up on a hill just out of frame right as moonlight. Next, I set my @aputure.lighting 1000C deep in the woods as the yellow key light where our protagonists were heading to fight the dragon. I had three @nanliteca Pavotube 30Cs on my Shape C-stands in the woods for some coloured highlights. Though, with our heavy shooting schedule and limited charging time, two of them died partway through aside from the main magenta one that we needed most; I kept one in reserve to augment some lighting for the closeups. I had all four of my Aputure MCs as additional highlights at the base of some trees and shrubs. I also had my little handheld @ulanzi.global haze machine that worked only for the wide because the wind shifted the other way after that shot, making it obsolete for this setting. Lastly, we had little fairy lights inside of some cracked-glass jars for their lanterns.

The craziest part was when we had 100s of feet of extension cable running from my @ecoflow.canada Dual Fuel Generator (running on propane, absolutely deadly combo) all over the place to make this work. @keisuke__07 was absolutely clutch in this operation, running up and down the hill to the house to grab whatever we needed, those extension cables included.
A mix of handheld and tripod shots made this scene flow exactly as we needed it to. My fast cine-modified @nikoncanada Nikkor Al-S lenses gave us the character and light we were after, and the shadow retention and colour of my @reddigitalcinema Komodo-X was absolutely key for this scene. Indie filmmaking at its finest!

@lauren_abby_skye and @lauren_shae_for slayed their roles (pun intended) as the fair maidens of the forest!

Offgrid sustainability with powering back up not only daily essentials but added recreation @lensunsolar. This is how it went and 10% off with code: cathi_ag3. Its ability to pull in 129W even with slight shade is great to keep this keyboard playing without draining much of the @ecoflow.canada @ecoflowusa Delta 3 max 2048W. #outdoors #nature #piano #breathe #fyp

Best little community anywhere around.

We are so thankful for all the support we receive at all our markets.

In the summer months we set up 3-4 each week at different farmers markets in our region and have built such beautiful relationships with our customers and vendor friends.

It takes a lot of effort to run the farm, make the product, and run a booth - but it is absolutely always worth it.

Our season is over in the North Shuswap but you can still find us @sorrentovillagefarmersmarket on Saturdays 9am-12pm until Thanksgiving weekend.

Thank you to everyone for all your support this season! Until next year!

Well… I think I’m officially done with @ecoflow.canada

Second unit in 2 months. The first one started smoking. The replacement is now throwing the same fault code and won’t work with absolutely nothing plugged into it.

I really wanted to like these things, but I can’t keep dealing with this.

So… what are you guys running instead?

I need something that can actually handle a mobile detailing setup. Luckily I bought it from @costco_canada and their customer service has been great. I’ve heard it’s a nightmare dealing with ecoflow but can’t comment on that.

What power station would you buy if you had to do it again?

Drop your recommendations below 👇 I’m genuinely looking for alternatives.

So ok, summer’s over, this video is the day after a surgery for me and my big plans for the 2 months of summer were put on hold due to other personal matters stirring the pot! But the flame in me refuses to be snuffed but rather boomerang triple fold. You aren’t rediscovering the person who once was—-just dusting off the lint on your shoulders. This song resonates for those who follow…now how I got here is serendipitous. This part of nature and music resonates deep for more than just a drive where there’s no cell reception, no facilities or anyone much to help you. You help herself! But what makes it sustainable has always been @lensunsolar for keeping the battery topped up X @ecoflow.canada for providing their power stations X @gooverlandcanada for the much needed rest in their roof top tents! And thanks for a solid platform!!
