day in my life aboard the Peace Boat 🌊✨

from stepping on deck to speaking on a panel, to walking in a fashion show inspired by the ocean—this was one of those surreal “how is this my day?” kind of moments.

in between everything: conversations about the future of our oceans, meeting people turning ideas into action, and soaking in an event that blended creativity, culture, and conservation in the best way.

so grateful to be apart of such an amazing event! 💙🌊⚓️

Our team had a fin-tastic time at the screening of “The Hidden Gulf” to celebrate @worldoceanday !

We loved getting to connect with event attendees to share our work and this summer’s Sustainable St. Pete Challenge that is currently available to join in the Remora app. Our team also left with a deeper appreciation for our deep ocean ecosystems, and those that have and are still actively working to protect them.

Thank you to St.Pete Eco Club, ECOP USA, and ReThink Energy Florida for partnering with us on this event!

Celebrate World Ocean Month by joining the Sustainable St. Pete Challenge in Remora and help us make St. Pete a more plastic-free community!

At our World Ocean Day event, we asked attendees to describe how the ocean makes them feel in just one word.

From calm and rejuvenated to stoked and home, these responses remind us of the deep connection so many of us share with our ocean.

What’s your one word?

An evening of dialogue, art, and blue innovation onboard Peace Boat in New York City, in celebration of World Oceans Day.

Last night, Bluence joined advocates, artists, innovators, and changemakers for The Ocean Gala, an evening dedicated to blue innovation, cross-sector partnerships, and the ocean communities at the center of it all.

Bluence was nominated for the “Peace Boat US Ocean Stewardship Award” in the Ocean Literacy category. The nomination itself is recognition enough.

Thank you to @emilie_mcglone, Executive Director of Peace Boat US, for the invitation and for organizing such a meaningful evening.

For a more just, blue future.

Tonight, I’ll be speaking at the Ocean Gala & Blue Innovation Reception onboard the Peace Boat in New York City! 🌊

In celebration of World Oceans Day and the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, the event brings together leaders, advocates, innovators, and changemakers from across sectors to explore how collaboration can drive meaningful ocean and climate action.

As someone whose work spans ocean storytelling, policy, leadership, and community engagement, I’m always inspired by opportunities to connect with people working toward a healthier, more sustainable future for our blue planet.

Looking forward to an evening of dialogue, innovation, and new connections! ⚓️💙

Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊

We started the celebration early this past Friday with a screening of “The Hidden Gulf” from National Marine Sanctuary Foundation at Beech Kombucha in St. Petersburg! 🐠

From learning about deep-sea coral ecosystems to highlighting the incredible work of local partners, the evening brought together a community of ocean stewards committed to protecting and restoring our marine environments. 🪸

We all left with a deeper appreciation for the hidden ecosystems beneath the surface and the people working to protect them. 🩵
