🌿💚 NEW IN STORE! 💚🌿

We’re delighted to announce that we’re now stocking a selection of Ecover’s eco-friendly products! 🌎✨

🌱 Good for your home, kinder to the planet! Ecover products are designed with the environment in mind, using plant-based ingredients in many of their formulas. ♻️

💚 A little kinder to you, too! Choosing products with thoughtfully selected ingredients and avoiding unnecessary harsh chemicals where possible can help reduce exposure to certain irritants. If you have sensitive skin, always check the individual product ingredients, as natural ingredients can still cause reactions.

🌍 Small changes can make a big difference! Pop in store and check out our new eco-friendly range. 🛍️🌿

SAVE this for your next food shop 🛒

A few of my regular UPF-free finds from @ocadouk that I buy week after week. I’m trying @tallow_ash for the second time and it smells beautiful! It does still contain fragrance, but personally, I prefer it to many conventional laundry detergents.

Have you tried any of these? 🤍

Navigating chronic pelvic pain and preparing my body for a heavily medicalised IVF cycle means my endocrine system is basically a highly sensitive VIP that could throw a strop at any moment. Over the last few months, I’ve been slowly overhauling my entire house to lower my daily toxic load.
Why? Because everyday items are secretly packed with Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). Things like BPAs in plastic tupperware, phthalates hiding in "fragranced" candles, and microplastics in synthetic clothes actively mimic estrogen in the body. When your body is already staging monthly rebellions, the absolute last thing it needs is a plastic kettle or synthetic plug-in air fresheners making the inflammation worse.
Plus, it takes about 90 to 120 days for an egg to fully mature before retrieval. Everything I breathe in, absorb, or cook with right now directly impacts the cellular environment those eggs are growing in. Lowering my toxic load reduces oxidative stress, which protects egg quality.
A massive disclaimer before you panic and throw your entire kitchen in the bin: this was NOT an overnight, highly stressful, or wildly expensive overhaul. This has been months of slowly swapping things out only as they naturally ran out, or genuinely needed replacing. It’s just about making a slightly better choice the next time you need to buy a fresh bottle of something.
I can’t cure my chronic illness with a bamboo face cloth and a glass Tupperware container. But by lowering the overall toxic load in my house, my immune system has to fight fewer battles, leaving it more energy to deal with the actual heavy lifting.
Swipe to see the exact swaps I've made across the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.

One of the easiest places to reduce unnecessary chemicals at home? Your cleaning cupboard.

Many household cleaning products release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air. Some react with ozone to form secondary pollutants, including formaldehyde and ultrafine particles, which can irritate your airways.

I’ve gradually swapped conventional sprays and cleaners for gentler alternatives from @ecover_uk (they don’t know I’m posting this, I’m just a big fan!). I like that their products contain fewer harsh ingredients and as a result I feel happier using them around the house every day.

Save and follow for more of my non-toxic home swaps.
