Yesterday’s @ecoversity herbal summit introduced me to @dgoodfeather, a Lakota spiritual leader🌿 During the opening ceremony, Doug Good Feather shared the spiritual and medicinal significance of white sage, including its traditional use for cleansing the mind, heart, and spirit. He spoke about how its aromatic leaves have been used to promote a sense of calm, ease irritability, and can help clear congestion. If you have white sage growing in your garden, I invite you to pick a few fresh leaves, gently roll them into a ball between your hands, and take a few deep breaths Of this beautiful menthol aroma. Doug Good Feather also shared how his ancestors used the sage to wash themselves because of its antibacterial properties. It’s such a beautiful reminder of the wisdom passed down through generations and the many gifts Mother Earth provides. There is so much to learn from the plants around us and the traditions that have honored them for centuries. 🌿🤍

When COVID hit, we pivoted hard. We began weaving art and ecology together through our Green Residencies, bringing artists to secluded islands and farms across Costa Rica. The Earth became our teacher. We began exploring its patterns, its fractals, its rhythms, and the intelligence of living systems. Today, that same spirit lives on through @ecoversity , a movement helping people reconnect with the Earth and the wisdom it holds. They are opening up a Herbal Medicine Making Summit October 14-16 and we will be there 🌿 And it’s FREE! Homegirl @gabrielle_bonneville will be teaching SOMANA™ at there amongst incredible other teachers SOMANA is a movement method where we move as the elements, prioritizing embodiment before thinking. Because our relationship with the Earth isn’t just intellectual. It’s something we live through our bodies. Join us! ✨ 15 teachers. 3 days. 3 themes: Craft, Nourish, Restore. 🌱 A FREE 97-page medicine-making book with recipes from Rosemary Gladstar. 🌱 15 sessions from this year’s summit, plus 24 replays from last year. 🌱 Join a global community reclaiming the art of plant medicine. If what you eat, how you sleep, and how you bounce back already matter to you, this one’s made for you. The Herbal Medicine Making Summit is happening October 14–16: three live days, fully online, and free to join. It’s hosted by Ecoversity, a live herbal school with students across 47 countries. Last year drew 60,000 attendees, and this year is even bigger. The lineup is serious: Dr. Pedram Shojai, doctor of oriental medicine and author of The Urban Monk, exploring the gut-brain connection. Darin Olien, the Superfood Hunter, on how modern living drains your health and how to reclaim it. Tara Lanich-LaBrie of The Medicine Circle, author of Foraged and Grown, sharing time-tested remedies for today’s digestion, made with what’s already in your kitchen. Dr. Jacqui Wilkins, naturopathic doctor, on blending science into preparations that actually deliver. Plus, last year’s library unlocks free on day one, including Mark Hyman on phytochemicals, soil health, and fixing our food system. Why this beats yet another podcast on the topic? It’s hands-on. You’re not just hearing about plants, you’re working with them. By the end of the week, you’ll know how to make a remedy, not just cite research on one. Sign up and you’ll instantly get a 97-page recipe book. The free pass covers all three live days, with replays available through October 23. The $67 VIP pass gets you into live sessions where you can put your own questions to the teachers, lifetime access to all 39 sessions, and a $250 credit toward their six-month certification. That’s 24 hours of teaching for less than $3 an hour. Free access closes October 23. This October, you can start your own journey for free 👇 🌱 Live online, 14–16 October, 10am–3pm Pacific 🌱 12 teachers, four sessions a day 🌱 A free 97-page medicine making book when you register 🌱 36 sessions in total 60,000 people joined last year.
