We teamed up with @gellermusic & @ascothillsparkla for a special Public Sounds experience rooted in reciprocity with nature. 🌎🎶

One week before the live performance, our teams alongside @ascothillsparkla Green Team came together for a conservation project at Ascot Hills Park : giving back to the land before gathering within it. (Just as we do monthly - every 2nd Saturday of the month at @ascothillsparkla) ♻️

Then the following week, community members returned for a beautiful live music experience in nature through Public Sounds. 🔊⛰️🌿

Huge thank you to the Ascot Hills Green Team, Geller Music, and all 16 members of the We Explore Earth crew who united to bring this shared vision to life.

More experiences like this to come. 🌎
Let’s keep exploring, listening to spirit-filling music, and protecting Mother Nature together.

It takes a village :: A Tribe 🌎

To build community. To protect Mother Earth. To create free experiences that nurture thousands of people. To protect and restore the lands that hold us. To inspire exploration, stewardship, healing, connection, and a brighter future for the generations to come.

This past Earth Month was a reminder that when people come together with intention, love, and care for one another and for Mother Earth, beautiful things can grow.

In this short life we get to experience within the cosmos, I’m so honored to be doing meaningful work alongside an amazing team at We Explore Earth and as part of a beautiful interconnected community here in SoCal and beyond.

Here’s to the @weexploreearth team + some of my favorite moments in the last 35 days & to Mother Earth 🌎

May we continue choosing connection, compassion, adventure, and purpose.

Prayers to all those in spirit, in the present, and for the future of Mother Earth + the winged, 4 legged+, 2 legged & finned.
🥁🦅

Our goals have been ambitious, but they have always been clear: spreading environmental education, providing opportunities for new outdoors enthusiasts, and leaving the trails cleaner than we found them. NONE of this would be possible without the amazing help of our dedicated Tribe of volunteers.

📣THANK YOU📣 to these impressive individuals who have sacrificed many, many hours of their time to service our Planet. On behalf of the We Explore Earth community, it wouldn’t be the same without you.

🌱 Is your interest in the outdoors growing? Have you seen a friend volunteer and want to try it yourself? 🌱

@weexploreearth seasonally recruits new volunteers, and we’d love to hear from YOU! 🫵

Keep your 👀 out in the coming months for opportunities to deepen your involvement with Mother Nature and give back to the community. WEE can assure you - it is very rewarding! 🎁

🌿 Recap: Foraging & Herbal Medicine Walk

A beautiful morning exploring the hills with our community during this free educational group hike + herbal medicine workshop in partnership with the amazing @saveorangehills, guided by the incredible naturalist Barefoot Joel Robinson.

Together we slowed down, listened to the land, and learned about the edible, medicinal, and cultural relationships between people and plants across the chaparral, riparian, and oak woodland ecosystems of Silverado Canyon.

One of the most meaningful reminders Joel shared was the Tongva expression “A’weshkoon-way” — thank you, a way of offering gratitude to the land whenever we harvest or receive something from nature. 🌎

🍃 Some plants we learned about:
• Mugwort – a powerful herbal ally used in teas and dream pillows
• Hedge Nettle – antimicrobial and supportive for colds and respiratory health
• Willow – source of natural salicylic acid (the precursor to aspirin)
• Horehound – traditionally used in cough drops and sore-throat remedies
• Cleavers (Bedstraw) – the “velcro plant” with medicinal properties
• Elderberry – flowers and berries used traditionally for immune support

⚠️ We also learned how to identify and avoid plants like Wild Cucumber, Periwinkle, and Poison Oak — an important reminder that knowledge and respect are essential when interacting with wild plants.

These experiences remind us how much wisdom exists in our landscapes when we take the time to observe, listen, and learn.

Huge gratitude to @saveorangehills for the collaboration and for the incredible land conservation work they are doing to protect these beautiful wild spaces. Please give them a follow and help support their projects.

🌿 Stay tuned for more community nature experiences together — including our upcoming Women’s Bird Walk (announcement coming soon).

If you enjoy these free educational outdoor experiences, please help us spread the word and support organizations protecting our local lands.

Your tribe loves you. Keep exploring. 🌎💚
