DRY YET BLOOMING WITH BEAUTY
A photographic art editorial by artist Edwin Gómez Cerón, inspired by a blooming tropical dry forest.
The artistry and execution of the images capture the unique beauty of the Colombian Pacific and a forest filled with orchids, Chupallas, and other blooms sourced from the Vía al Mar and the photographer’s own garden - including a Chupalla (or Neoregelia), a Giant Red Anthurium, a Coastal Fern, the slender Yellow Epidendrum Orchid, and tiny mountain wildflowers - all integrated into the aesthetic vision of the makeup and nail art.

QUEREME, THE GROOM DRESSES IN WHITE …
¿BUT WHAT ABOUT LOVE?

Jambeau in a photographic art series with Edwin Gómez Cerón and inspired by tropical flowers and a pasionnate red love and his musical project “Niño de Fuego”. His music belongs to the urban genre: afrobeat, R&B, lo-fi hip-hop, and spiritual beat.

The Quereme (Cavendishia Quereme) is an emblematic flower among the “sacred” or revered plants, native to the mountains of southwestern Colombia, specifically El Queremal in Dagua, Valle del Cauca, very close to Cali.

In addition to its beauty and exquisite aroma, the Quereme has analgesic properties used ancestrally, in modern medicine, and in ancient practices of harmonization for love and good fortune.

ARTE EDITORIAL 2026 CALI
BOSQUE SECO HÚMEDO TROPICAL / BEAUTY IN TROPICAL HUMID DRY FOREST editorial de belleza (makeup and Nails) en @vous.magazine y disponible.m en versión impresa en @magcloud

A photo essay featuring plants and species native to the tropical dry forest or humid forest of Cali, near the Pacific coast. The image depicts a stunning road and landscape emerging between two immense mountain ranges, the Farallones de Cali.
At approximately 800-900 meters above sea level, this road, or chain of quarries, or towering mountains, boasts perfect curves where shrubs, grasses, flowers, and a yellow orchid, the Epidendrum Melinantum, flourish. Included in this series, the orchid, nestled among the rocks, captures water in the mists of swirling rivers, becoming a sponge of life and tropical beauty.

FIREBOY HELICONIA GRIGGSIANA, A TROPICAL FUTURIST MASK

REINA NEGRA CON ESTILO INDEFINIDO / editorial colaboratorio y diseño emergente.
