Since I witnessed the Berlin Marathon as a kid growing up in this city, I wanted to run it once in my life, on my own. I couldn’t imagine how many hours of training and humbling moments it would require. 🏃🏃‍♀️💨
But I also couldn’t imagine that I would be so blessed to run it with the love of my life, who by then would even be my wife. And I couldn’t imagine what an incredible feeling it would be to achieve this as a couple. Love you so much. 🦦🍯❤️

What a week!

ARMC 2026 was a reminder of the power of community, collaboration, and the incredible momentum behind African music right now.

As part of the @paradiseworldwide__ family, it was amazing to contribute to another successful edition of the conference and connect with artists, executives, creatives, and innovators from around the world.

A personal highlight was moderating The Lekompo Wave with @janesh_singer and @hitboss_rsa , discussing the rise of one of South Africa’s most exciting emerging genres and the cultural movement behind it.

Then came ARMC By Night, where I had the chance to jump behind the decks and share the lineup with @murdahbongz @dj_buhle @henrikschwarzlive and many other incredible artists.

We also announced the ARMC Mentorship Programme, in partnership with the @germanyinsa and @paradiseworldwide__ . This initiative will give selected participants access to one-on-one mentorship from industry professionals in Germany, along with support around artist development, content, and release strategy.

If you’re an emerging artist or music professional looking to grow your career, I highly encourage you to apply.

Application link available in @africa_rising_music_conference bio.

Grateful to everyone who contributed to making this year’s conference such a success!

If you haven’t heard from me the last few days… this is why. ⬆️

Some of the hardest days so far, but without a doubt also the most rewarding. Months of work, stress, little sleep, and passion finally coming to life.

Couldn’t be more grateful for my incredible team - none of this would’ve been possible without you @naimahglobal @sj.nicholson @thuso_wasibini @mi.cal.am

This project means more to me than I can put into words.

Big love to the ARMC family - @rouge_rapper , @kimjayde , @youngduragg, @thegingermac & everyone involved. And thank you to all our partners for helping make this happen - @paradiseworldwide__ , MINT Digital Services, @johnniewalkerafrica @jaecoosouthafrica @samromusic @rayban @kfcsouthafrica @sampra_official @tiktok_southafrica @recordingindustryofsouthafrica @auhcsouthafrica @germanyinsa

See you next year ❤️

It started in Berlin, was officially introduced at @internationalmusicsummit Ibiza 2026, and this past weekend continued at @africa_rising_music_conference in Johannesburg.

The Berlin AI Think Tank was created as a platform for critical discussions around artificial intelligence, creator consent, licensing, attribution, and fair remuneration within the rapidly evolving music landscape.

What began as conversations between @paradiseworldwide__, @allrights.aixchange, @afemorg, @fraunhofer.idmt, and partners across music, technology, and rights management is now expanding internationally through collaborations with organisations and stakeholders across Africa and beyond.

At ARMC 2026, representatives from @sampra_official , @capassohub , @bridgesformusic, AFEM, Fraunhofer IDMT, AIxchange, and other local and international stakeholders came together to discuss the next steps toward a more independent and sustainable Pan African AI ecosystem for music and the creative industries.

The focus is not only on protecting rights, but also on building practical frameworks that allow creators, artists, producers, and rightsholders to actively participate in the future of AI-driven music economies through consent-based licensing, fair attribution, and sustainable remuneration models.

As music and wider creative communities continue engaging with AI technologies, initiatives like the Berlin AI Think Tank aim to ensure innovation develops alongside creator rights, cultural value, and long term sustainability.
