MORE BLACK THEATRE HISTORY! Black Theatre Pioneers. There's no position in professional theatre production more important than that of the Production Stage Manager. The unsung heroes of all theatre! Here, you are looking at TWO OF THE BEST to have worked at the art. On the left is Ed DeShae. On the right is Edmund (Ed) Cambridge. As a Producer, Director, Actor and Founder I have had plentiful opportunities to have worked with both these theatre masters. Cambridge (who was also a fine director, actor, and teacher himself) in New York at the beginning of my career and at the Negro Ensemble Company.) With DeShae, in my DC Black Repertory Company which I founded when I went back to help heal my home town through the arts. He then journeyed to New York to brilliantly stage manage at the NEC. In all my long, varied career I have worked with none better or more professionally perfect than these elites! Black theatre pioneers at the top of their professional game. #eddeshae #edmundcambridge #blacktheatrepioneers #stagemanagers #productionstagemanagers #moreblacktheatrehistory #blacktheatrehistory #americantheatrehistory
