A rendezvous with // The World of Rosewood Weddings

Give some of my favorite creatives in the industry two days and Rosewood to play with, and naturally, things get pretty fabulous.

The best part was how little it felt like an “industry event.” Somewhere between the dinners, unreal outfits, and watching everyone do what they do best, it felt more like one big creative family getting together.

I had the privilege of photographing all of it, which meant two days of chasing the energy around Rosewood Sand Hill and documenting the people, details, talent, and everything happening in between.

To everyone who came from near and far, thank you for letting me photograph you, laugh with you, and occasionally shove a camera in your face. And to the teams who dreamt this up and pulled it off, you absolutely did that.

Couldn’t end the year without sharing my own vantage point on one of the most fun moments of my career and the icing on the cake is an exceptional year. I always think it’s important to reflect on what you’ve learned [I’ll spare you on this one]; however, this event was the personification and actualization that good begets good and if you show up for others with purity and consistency, the truth can and will occur and for that I’m so grateful 🙏🏼 We are just getting started.

Entry 2 of a virtual diary of a CEO 🤝 I’ve made 6 massive changes I’ve made for my health this year that made a hell of a difference mixed in with a few extra bright spots from last month.

SOUL- I’ve changed up my daily journaling with one important prompt that I think you’ll love. Also I’ve added @soulcycle back into my routine, which has been such an integral piece of healing my mental health.

BODY - 15 years of being a vegan, pescatarian and boop I’m a carnivore now 😝 I’ve added @thehappymammoth to my routine and you need to as well.

AESTHETICS- how I turned shingles into a positive thing {I guess ?} thanks to @rebeccanosebest and @houseofpreservation

I’m sharing these with you now because you don’t need the new year to start in order to enact major changes in your life. It can start with a step forward for tomorrow 🤍

*Not a social media post* - Looks can be deceiving. this post is really for the ladies, so you’ve been warned. If I told you that this year, I’ve had more days of feelings of darkness, moments of hate for what I look like, and isolating myself from building friendships, would you believe me ?

The start of 2023 found me at my worst. Crying for no reason, huge weight fluctuations, what in the f is happening to me ? Everything is good, so why am I in such a state of self loathing, am I not grateful? 2 years ago my period was the last time I had my period, so was it my hormones? Naturally I went to the doctor, an integrative doctor only to spin my wheels and my mind out of control.

Was it PCOS? Polycystic ovary syndrome perhaps ? I shared with my previous doc, but wasn’t believed that is until I reached out to @drroxannepero - an OBGYN/MD and functional, integrative doctor @carpathiacollaborative. Most importantly- she made me feel seen and validated, it IS PCOS. So here’s what I’m doing about it:

- With @drroxannepero I am working closely to do one big health edit and have been able to start managing my inflammation and a return to having a period - hooray! - after so long
- @kromawellness- this has been my go-to for inflammation and I’ve done 7 or 8 resets {use code PERSEPHONE for 15% off}
- @sarahwraggewellness - I’ve been following Sarah for months and just signed up for her 6 week Method. With PCOS I need to be mindful of blood sugar, eating balanced and everything is backed by science. I chose the SWW method, because of the 1:1 coaching, accountability and foundational changes to heal myself naturally and in accordance to my PCOS diet. Ps registration closes on 9/25, so let’s do it together.

What you may believe you see is glimmers of time defined by shiny looks and ballgowns, but what I can say confidently is I’ve had two distinct moments of the year where I can say I felt back to normal. So why share now? I’ve been scared to, but hopefully this story may resonate@as I put myself back together again 🤍 Share this with someone who may be feeling any of this too and above all, advocate for yourself ⬇️

2022 was a YEAR! It was epic in every sense and I felt that this year more than most, we decided to prioritize us. We moved into a new place, the boys started new extracurricular activities, we vacationed as a couple and a huge one as a family. We welcomed new little ones to the world and welcomed family who moved to Dallas to be with us. I learned more about who I am, both from highs and lows but came out stronger than ever.

It was a pleasure to explore this world and this life with you @everydayvogue and grateful for friends who became family. I can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring, but I can feel that it’s going to be the most incredible year yet. What an epic night and the most perfect end to 2023. Goodnight!
