INVITATION TO BID!!!! 😎

Bidding finishes midnight 9th October2026‼️

What’s a banana worth?

Apparently $6.2 million. 😂

My work Comedian Revisited, currently showing in ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ at Penny School Gallery, @kingston.college_creatives is a playful — but serious — response to Maurizio Cattelan’s infamous Comedian.

The original banana sold for $120,000–$150,000 in 2019, before one edition was resold at Sotheby’s in 2024 for a jaw-dropping $6.2 million. The new owner later ate it at a press event. 🍌

The buyer actually owns a certificate and instructions for replacing the banana as it rots. So really, you’re buying the idea of a banana.

My “Comedian Revisited” is available for considerably less.

And thankfully, this one isn’t edible… in case you’re feeling peckish. 😉

A little pun, a little satire, and a serious look at how we decide what art — and ordinary objects — are worth.

Want to own it? 🍌
