I had the privilege of programming the lighting for the Giant Rooks HHYB Tour 2024 and also accompanying the germany tour, including all the festivals, as well as the europa tour as lighting director.

It was a great experience and enormous fun to be part of this production. Creative direction and production design were handled by @gunther_hecker
A big thank you to everyone who accompanied in the creative process and the execution of the concerts.

Mit ca. 60000 bespaßten Menschis auf 15 Shows von hier bis Schwyzerdütsch, 38 kleinen epischen Crew-Fantasticos aus unzähligen Gewerken, gefühlten tausend Stunden Lieblingsmusik „in mein Gesicht rein“, ner allabendlich end-abgelieferten Performance, dargeboten von diesen 5 Bühnen-Legenden (die sich nach irgendwas mit Schachfiguren benannten 🤷‍♂️ und das 2. Album einfach mal auf die 1 der Charts komponiert haben 🤯) , im Rücken, verlässt der „HOW HAVE YOU BEEN“ Tour-Wanderzirkus 2024 die deutschsprachigen Bühnen und fällt in eine kurze, aber intensive 1 wöchige Ruhe-Phase, in der sich Betten im Schlaf nicht bewegen, sich das morgendliche Aufwachen in der immer gleichen Stadt vollzieht, das Essen im immer gleichen Kühlschrank wohnt und der Wasserstrahl aus der Brause in der Dusche immer gleich konstant und warm, auf den darum flehenden Körper fällt.

I think its time to introduce our thoughts behind this beloved project. Discover Folkmusic is an idea of growing an understanding of other cultures, people's ways of life and world views using traditional music as the unifying element. We collect, research and convey regional genres and forms of folk music in their current status and historical substantiation. For this purpose, DFM develops concepts and methods in cooperation with local, regional and international artists, initiatives and institutions.

The plan is to create an analog and digital toolbox, an online archive including exchange and learning formats.

We believe that traditional music wants to be preserved as much as it wants to live and be further developed, reinterpreted and continued to ensure that it can be experienced by a wider audience in the spirit of artistic freedom, digitization and tolerance.

We will gradually introduce the team behind this project here.
