dear chorus,

wow, what can i say? its been a little over a week since the last time i sang with my highschool chorus and wow, what a nostalgic feeling it’s left. it’s been a crazy 4 years, that’s for sure. coming in as a little baby 8th grader, auditioning for vpa, sitting in on “time-warp” rehearsals, i was worried for the stress of highschool chorus and highschool in general. and yeah, when candlelight came around my freshman year, the stress was definitely there. but through all the vocal assessments, through all the “come to jesus meetings”, and through all the times where we were at eachothers throats, at the end of the day we were there for eachother through and through. whether sommer was so mad at us that the vein on his bald head was popping out, or when we got straight superiors and were able to badazzle that bald head, we got through it all. i wanna say thank you for making it such a great time. i will love and cherish all the purpose i’ve met along the way and appreciate those memories for years to come. and, i’d like to leave some of my most favorite and iconic sommer quotes: 1. “rule number one, don’t suck” 2. “if you believe in nothing, you’re bound to fall for anything” 3. “blonde isn’t a hair color, it’s a state of mind” 4. “everyday in every way i’m getting better and better”. i want to thank each and everyone one of you for impacting me more than it may seem and tell you that i will forever appreciate you all. that is why i can proudly and bitter sweetly call you my choir family. with that, i want to lay rest to the long and detailed chapters of highschool chorus. it will always mean the world to me and i will look back on it fondly. this is michael miller, signing off <3
