Energy and light as powerful as the sun condensed into a wirey human form. Sean before the darkness took over was joy unburdened and uninhibited. Brilliant, hyperbolic, complex, only the most grandiose of adjectives for this dickhead from Cambridge who loved the Red Sox, The Modern Lovers, mai tais, and accidentally painted his old apartment Dunkin’ colors.

A MURDER OF CROWS XI — CHAPTER II: GRIMLY FIENDISH

Some tribute bands respectfully revisit the catalogue.

Grimly Fiendish apparently decided to dig it up, apply eyeliner, give it a drink and send it back onstage.

And thank God for that.

The Damned have always occupied that perfect bit of real estate where punk, goth, camp, chaos and questionable decision-making share a rent-controlled apartment — and Grimly Fiendish came to TV Eye determined to preserve the neighborhood.

@edemaruhjasper stepped into the Dave Vanian-shaped shadows and the whole thing became less “tribute act” and more minor paranormal incident involving several amplifiers.

And the Crows were only getting started. There are many chapters to crow … caw! caw!
