oh, claudio.

i will never be able to form a one-sided opinion on you.

you are too frustrating for that. too contradictory. too proud and too insecure, too loving and too capable of being cruel, too young and too convinced that you understand the world when you very clearly do not. you are infuriating and yet, so painfully easy to understand.

you make terrible choices. you hurt people. you let fear, pride and other people’s opinions get louder than your own heart.
and somehow, i still found so much tenderness in you.

there were so many moments where i wanted to grab you by the shoulders and ask what the hell you thought you were doing and just as many where some part of me wanted to defend you, because underneath all the arrogance and honour and terrible decision-making there was always this terrified young man trying desperately to be enough.
except the more i understood you, the clearer it became that there was really no defence.

i understood the fear. i understood the humiliation. i understood the anger, the hurt, the absolute terror of believing that the person you loved had betrayed you and that everyone around you had watched you become a fool.
but none of that gave you the right to be cruel.

there were approximately 6,547,839 other ways you could have handled it. you could have confronted hero privately. you could have walked away. you could have taken five minutes to consider whether publicly destroying the person you supposedly loved was perhaps not the healthiest first response.

that contradiction became one of my favourite things to explore: being able to completely understand where a feeling comes from while still looking at what someone does with that feeling and not being able to stand behind that choice. fear can explain cruelty without justifying it. pain can explain anger without making the damage it causes any less real.

"To love is to suffer!"
A long overdue comeback to this account paired with a long overdue post of one of my recent-ish events? Perfect!
In the midst of finding my place in life, i am very glad to have been nicely forced by my best friends to join the EDG, after only being an audience-member for so long. And what can I say? I'm very happy i joined. Not only did i get to perform alongside amazing people, but I also got to know new people, learned more skills, and overall had such an amazing fun time.
Playing Ysabell in the theatre adaption of Mort from Terry Pratchett's Discworld was a wonderful experience for me. I mean, who wouldn't love to play a strong-willed, romantical, weird girl? In that sense, thank you very much to Eric (@eric_e27), the wonderful director, for trusting me with that role!
Half of the selling point for this role was very much the costume and makeup. Although i was a part of these groups, was it very much Lucy (@kiyruma.irl) and Lea's doing that visualised this whimsy-goth girl. Lea (@blue.zero.unocard) practically became my personal stylist and make-up artist, and working each performance night for one hour solely on my makeup surely is an accomplishment, so thank you very much to you too!!!
And mostly, thank you so much to Carden (@jay.is.a.cat), who not only played the fantastic role of Mort, but was also my inspiration and confidence-booster throughout the whole production.
And thank you to everyone else who made this play and my time during it a wonderful experience 💖💀✨

I haven't posted in forever but that is partially to blame on the insane play that I was part of from the @edg.bielefeld
We did Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and I was one of the Dirks. We did a double cast partially so there are two versions of us time travelling.
This took 15hours which I think is actually quite good considering how much this is lol,
I also used pose bases cause I still hate anatomy haha
Anyways, hope you like it!!

Surrounded by a talented cast and crew for my first international production - The Satyricon performed by the talented cast (and director and crew) in Bielefeld at the weekend. Well done and thank you to everyone!

And just like that the first ever EDG+ production comes to a close. And not only that but also the first ever international production of The Satyricon and the first time with me as a director and the first time in EDG history having a playwright specifically come to Bielefeld to watch us perform. So many first times, it still feels so surreal to me. ✨
I am so proud of everyone in this production. I have no idea how we managed to rehearse such a long play in such a short amount of time. Thank you for all your dedicated work! You're all incredible! Thank you for making my dream a reality! 🫶🏻

A sneak picture before tonight's performance. The director, cast and crew created a very funny and memorable version of our story.

New art finally yay! So I was recently in a play that our theatre group wrote ourselves with our own characters and everything. So I just had to draw these beautiful people as the ghosts they played!!
