Built this new landscape bed for the front yard in the spring, starting with shaping the bed, reusing sod, amending the soil, and adding EdgeRight metal edging and mulch. 🌿

We planted a globe blue spruce, petite rose, and Snow Fountains weeping cherry to bring in a mix of color, texture, and structure.

Here’s what it looks like now in the fall! 🍂 Pretty cool to see how everything has filled in over the growing season.

From trying different shrubs in other spots and researching some newer options, I feel like I have a good list of things to plant around my house now! Having the space look SO TIDY because of this @edgingengineered edging really gave me the motivation to get my rear in gear on this project. For a list of what I am planting and link to this great edging that was super easy to use- comment “Landscape”. ☺️

When the city took out our 30-yr old tree, I cried.

So did my yard. The plants. The grass. The bees.

Everything died. And I hated it.

So I dreamed up something better. For the birds, the bees, the plants, Mother Earth, and me.

Our yard has been a year in the making.

A lot of long, hard weekends. Back and forth plans. Emails. Trips to Home Depot. Swears.

And now… I love my little native pollinator front yard.

What does Fall and the new Bonfire 2.0 by @edgingengineered have in common? They both arrived at the same time!

This fire pit is no joke. It’s 285lbs of USA made steel! This thing will outlast your house. It assembles in minutes and requires no tools or hardware, that means you won’t have to take it a part because you forgot a step!

Now it’s S’more time. Are you on team Hershey’s Chocolate or Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ? Let me know in the comments and make sure you like this post!

Our fire pit area is finally DONE 🔥 (well kind of, waiting for grass and plants) and just in time for fall nights by the pond here at The Grange 🪵🍂🔥

We’ve been working on this little corner of our property for a while, and the final piece was adding the new Bonfire 2.0 from @edgingengineered — which officially launches TODAY! #sponsored

It’s made from 285 lbs of American steel and I love that there’s no hardware or tools needed to put it together. The pieces simply slide together (definitely a two-person job because this thing is SOLID 😂), and the bottom plate even has handles so you can lift it out when it’s time to clean out the ash.

I wanted something that felt substantial and permanent out here and would only get better with age, and I think this was exactly what the space needed.

So happy to finally call this project finished (until we can plant grass & plants in the landscape). Now we just need a fire, a pile of blankets and some s’mores. 🤍🔥

I like leaning into the fact that this whole huge project started with one very simple decision:

It really did start with me looking at the lawn and deciding I wanted a garden there. 😂

What started as an idea turned into removing the grass, laying out a 180-foot garden bed, and slowly building it section by section.

This little corner became the shade garden — and somehow one garden bed has turned into one of the biggest projects I’ve taken on. And I’m still not done. 🤍

Sometimes you don’t need the entire plan figured out. You just need to decide the grass has got to go. 🌿

The summer annuals are getting pulled even though most of them still look good 🌸

I’m making room for fall annuals and I also want to see what my perennial borders look like on their own.

It’s always bitter sweet saying goodbye to the summer garden, especially one this pretty 🩷
