It was blazing hip hop and r&B at Fort Greene's annual Soul Summit festival. I got to see sooo many people I love and adore. Soul Summit is my favorite event in NYC because its like a black and queer family reunion every single time. Our joy is centered in abundance as Black owned businesses sell food and merch soo good you'll spend your last with pride. The highlight of the event is deff the full throttle house music; and not that stuff they label as tropical house on streaming apps. I'm talking shut my door you letting all the air out house. I'm talking red cups and dirty shoes house. I'm talking brown gel dripping betwixt your edges and yo ears house. I will deff be back for August! Meet me in the dance pit!
