✨ Celebrating Black Excellence, Representation & Change

A huge thank you to the Black Talent Awards for having MAMA Youth Project and celebrating the incredible individuals making a difference across our communities. @blacktalentawards

We were proud to see our CEO, Bob, recognised as a finalist for Charity and Change Employee of the Year. A well-deserved moment of recognition for the work being done to create positive change.

As we celebrate Black History Month, it’s important to remember that Black history isn’t only something we look back on. It’s being made every single day.
Across our communities, there are incredible Black individuals breaking barriers, creating opportunities, challenging the status quo and making a lasting difference, often without receiving the recognition they deserve.

That’s why events like the Black Talent Awards matter. They shine a light on the people behind the progress, celebrate their achievements and, importantly, inspire the next generation to believe that they too can make a difference.

At MAMA Youth Project, we see first-hand what happens when young people are given the right opportunities, support and belief. Representation matters. Visibility matters. And seeing people from similar backgrounds succeed can be the encouragement someone needs to realise what’s possible for themselves.

Here’s to celebrating the people making history today, recognising those creating change in our communities, and inspiring the change makers of tomorrow. 🙌🏾

Had such a good day at @cinecircleuk with @lilfaif! ❤️
Thanks for having us!
Loved exploring all the stands, seeing old and new friends. And having a full room in front of me… I don’t think that feeling ever gets old. At least not for me. It’s still exciting and terrifying at the same time! 😅
I really enjoyed chatting with so many people afterwards! 🙏
Also, the food @amodomiovan was soooo good! ❤️
And if you’re a film producer, check out @filmmakingplanner 👌👌👌

I was delighted to be the Producer leading training for emerging creatives from the midlands.

Four weeks.
14 trainees.
One intensive production training programme.
Leading masterclasses
Producing a digital gameshow
With an incredible production team.
One celebrity host.
Six celebrity guests.
And one very proud graduation day.

14 trainees from underrepresented or challenging backgrounds had the opportunity to develop their TV production skills, and experience the realities of making a digital-first celebrity gameshow.

It was a brilliant to combine my experience in TV development, digital formats and production with my passion for supporting new and emerging talent.

But most importantly…

Congratulations to the 14 trainees. 👏🏾
It’s been brilliant watching you grow over the past four weeks. I cannot wait to see what you do next.

Practice makes perfect when the @mamayouthproject trainees are working with technical trainer, Liam Millard @ldmcreativevisionary

All the trainees gotta bring their A-game!

It’s not just the trainees doing all the work! It's the Producer and Executive Producer.

Last week I hosted my first industry event at Fremantle!

It was an honour to be asked to host the graduation ceremony for MAMA Youth Project's most recent training cohort.

MAMA Youth Project is a BAFTA recognised charity that runs training schemes for individuals who are part of underrepresented groups – with the aim of kickstarting their careers in the creative industries.

Over nine weeks the trainees learned about the wild world of television, and had a go at producing their own content for Licklemor Productions.

It was genuinely heartwarming and inspiring to be in a room with so many talented creatives of colour – something that sadly, even today, is rare.

Congrats to all the trainees!

That's a wrap!

…And just like that it’s a wrap! 🥹❤️🎬

It has been an absolute pleasure being the Series AP with @licklemorproductions and working alongside the amazing team at @mamayouthproject. A massive shout out to fellow trainers and MYP Team who worked so hard day in and day out for the success of this 2026 Cohort. This training wouldn’t have been the same without you @melnti @i.b.t.i_z @tjuk @marni.icey_authentic 💓🥹

I have been Alumni of MAMA Youth Project’s Training program since 2019, and it has been such a full circle moment to be able to comeback and teach the trainees. To you all, congratulations for making it through such an intensive 9 weeks! I look forward to seeing you all shine bright and see you all soon ✨

An inspiring week at MAMA Youth Project as TV & radio presenter Konnie Huq joined us to speak with our trainees about her career, creativity and navigating the industry. She also sat down for a brilliant interview with our CEO Bob Clarke.🎬

Huge thanks to Konnie for sharing her experiences and motivating the next generation of storytellers. 🎥✨

Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, follow us on socials, and keep an eye out for the full interview coming soon!”
