I’m truly honored to announce my commitment to the admissions process at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

First I want to thank my friends and family for their support, most importantly my parents. Absolutely none of this would have been possible without their unwavering support and guidance to achieve my dreams. Secondly I want to thank my brothers for always pushing me to be better.

I would like to thank all the coaches who have helped support me throughout my journey. Coach Laskowski, Coach DeBole, Coach Twomey, Coach Lian, Coach Cortina, Coach Quinn, and Coach Cat. None of this would be possible without your guidance and support throughout my life. The dedication you all have to teaching leadership and the sports you love made my dream possible.

Finally I want to thank the coaching staff at RIT, Coach Coon, Coach Wilkins, and Coach Cornaire. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play lacrosse at the next level.

Bates’31

I’m blessed to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Bates college.

First I would like to thank God for leading me on this path.

Second I want thank my friends and family for their support, but especially my parents who have helped guide me through my life. I want to give a huge thanks to my mom and dad for the unbelievable support and effort they have put in towards me to allow me to continue my journey playing football. Without them none of this would be possible.

I would also like to thank all the coaches who have helped support me throughout my life. Coach Lian, Coach Morton, Coach Fox, Coach Wiemer, Coach Simmons, Coach Provenzano, Coach JR, Coach Snedden, and Coach Paladino. I cannot thank you guys enough for the amount of coaching and leadership you guys have shown me, you guys have helped shaped my life with not only football but helping me become a better person.

Lastly I want to thank the amazing Bates coaching staff, Coach Coyne, Coach Johnson and Coach Watrous, for giving me an amazing opportunity.

What happens when you lock in and commit to changing your life?

Last year Shawn made the decision to forgo a college football career and instead bet on himself as a videographer and editor. Once this decision was made he knew it was time to lose weight after his career as an accomplished high school OL/DL.

That is exactly what he did.

We started with the basics:
- Eating single ingredient whole foods
- Understanding the impact of a wide spectrum of ingredients (once you visualize the detrimental impact of foods it is easier to stop consuming)
- Increased meal frequency (progressed from 3-4 meals per day up to 5-6 meals per day)
- Reduced dietary fat intake (this is often overconsumed in both people who eat the standard American diet and individuals attempting to “eat healthy”)
- Being very selective with supplements and using bloodwork, symptoms, and nutrition tracking to have a reason for using them (95% or more is marketing)
- Transitioning from strength and power based weight training to more hypertrophy style weight training (closer to 1RM in beginning of training, more volume later).
- Training programming was targeted at lagging muscle groups from the beginning (arms & shoulders) to create the aesthetic X-frame/V-taper that all men want to achieve.

Shawn has not only transformed physically, but also mentally. He made a bet on himself to do what he truly felt called to do by moving to Florida and beginning his career. When you lose 50 pounds and look like a new human as Shanw has done, you begin to realize that whatever you dedicate yourself to you can truly do.

Many people are held down by self-limiting beliefs, they have always wanted to get fit, move somewhere new, have their passion become their career, and more. When you finally take action and change the most important aspect of your life (health) the rest of these decisions only seem more in reach.

Take the leap like Shawn and change your life for the better.

I am so excited to announce that I am committed to the admissions process at Kenyon College! I would like to thank all of my coaches at FCA Upstate and Brighton, as well as my family and teammates for their endless support throughout this process. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
