POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last set of videos from the Women Queer and Trans Fighters Camp we held on the the weekend of 23/24 may 2026. In this reel you see three different training exercises aimed at improving specific qualities in the fighters:

Exercise One:

Light sparing confined to 4m2 - a fighter is disqualified when they step outside of the square at which point they leave the arena and their partner takes on a new opponent.

The point of this exercise is to encourage spacial awareness and ring control, to improve static defensive capabilities and train holding our ground against aggressive opponents, as well as developing the skill to have specific goals whilst fighting which may not always be landing the most shots.

Exercise 2:

Pad rounds with pre-defined short combos set by the fighters based on their preferred simple combinations with periods of defence where the pad holder puts them under pressure.

The point of this exercise is to train launching a preferred combination under any circumstances so that it comes out easily even under stress and disorder during a fight. The defensive sections are also intended to mimic the rhythm of a fight which will feature both defensive and offensive periods.

Exercise 3:

15 seconds Attack with a simple repeatable combo - 15 seconds defence against a simple repeatable combo. 3 repetitions of both attack and defence for a total of 3 minutes.

The point of this exercise is to simulate the intensity of a fight and mimic the ideas of exchanges and periods of attack and defence. Fighters are expected to work at 100% speed/intensity though not necessarily at 100% power in order to experience maximum fatigue (and breaking through it) as well as arning to recover during defensive spells.

If you like what I do feel free to take the ideas and use them in your own programs

[FRANÇAIS DANS LE COMMENTAIRES]
This weekend #1312 we held another Women/Queer/Trans Muay Thai training camp at @wat_marseille_

16 participants from across France, Germany, Belgium and even as far away as Finland came together for an intensive training weekend between women, trans and queer people.

The training weekend consisted of 4 × 2 1/2 hour sessions one each morning and one each evening.

The morning sessions featured technical and skill based work:
Saturday was focused on maintaining body and guard structure, posture and good mechanics whilst fighting.
Sunday featured a Clinch masterclass exploring the ranges we can have inside of clinch and learning to clinch spar in a relaxed and technical way that helps to progress technique.

The evening sessions used Pad work to apply the technical knowledge we'd learned at a higher pace and with full force and we finished off the weekend with sparing games and then 5 × 3 minutes sparing with a size and skill matched partner.

Thanks @totoftw and @nastylatina_ for letting us use their wonderful gym, thanks to everyone who participed for your wonderful energy @_machinegrrrl_ @__jxjxjx__
@crustygoth @hnnh.momo @steroid_bimbo @caprendlesphotos @_fleurboy_ @lumiukkoo @ednxhaha @nan_splok and thanks to @salometjamais for coming to spar with us on Sunday.

The next Camp (22-23 February 2026) is already booked out, but please write me if you would like me to organise another camp in spring 2026 or if you would like me to bring the format to your home gym!

♾️ edna - Lavande plombée ♾️

≪ ABOUT THIS TRACK ≫
“This is an ode for limerence addicts, who crave imaginary romantic scenarios like Denis Lavant whose monologue in Carax’s movie Boy Meets Girl is used as a sample throughout the track: “Tu respecteras la chaleur de ton sang” (You will respect the warmth of your blood). It was composed during the first heatwave of the French summer in Marseille, which reminded me of the density and slowness of another movie by the same director, “Mauvais Sang” (Bad blood). This dystopic atmosphere of feverish warmth and confused romantic feelings lead me to shape a molten and tanned sound for the bass, that I obtained by heavily saturating and reverbing this sample. I named it “Lavande” (lavender) in order to forcefem the actor, and “plombée” (full of lead) because lavender has this extraordinary capacity for soil depollution, in the same way trans girls are used for hearts sanitation and emotional care and healing.” - edna

≪ ABOUT THE ARTIST ≫
edna @ednxhaha (she/her - Marseille) plays with deviant beats and sensual textures to open portals to other dimensions, into which ectasis and joy appear like explosions. Her music weaves around electronic sounds, blending weird, dynamic, and sexy atmospheres, often enhanced by AI visuals and performance. Her debut EP Portails (2025) navigates a landscape of cross-genre experimentation. A rising queer artist from Marseille, edna developed musical and scenic collaborations with artists from all over the world.

≪ ABOUT THE RELEASE ≫
“Lavande plombée” is track 8 on our Eternal Volume 1 V/A compilation, out now on @exude_records 💟 Buy the album on Bandcamp to support the contributing artists, our T4T label + mutual aid fundraiser for @casa_t_lisboa 🔗 link in bio!

Eternal Volume 1 is out today for your listening pleasure, available on Bandcamp as well as across streaming platforms (except spotify). Happy release day to our amazing participating artists!!!

This V/A compilation has been a labor of love, bringing together some of our favorite producers from around the world to sonically reflect the state of our community. While delivering dancefloor bangers, it is understandably dystopian + intense at times, yet rebellious + encouraging.

We hope it offers inspiration + hope to trans* folks + anyone who enjoys expressive music.

If you can afford to, please support the trans producers, our T4T label + mutual aid for Casa T Lisboa by purchasing Eternal on Bandcamp - link in bio 💟
