People often ask me what I do. And I sometimes struggle to give a simple answer. After all, I do quite a few different things.

But when I think about it, there is one common thread: I love making things better.

Sometimes big things. Sometimes very small things.

This video is a wonderful example of the latter. It captures something I deeply believe in: making things better requires patience, relentless attention to detail, and the humility to work with people who are better at something than you are.

And above all, it takes passion. Because excellence rarely happens by accident.

I love this video because it captures the very essence of @chirimoyaclothing. Our ambition is not simply to create beautiful things, but to keep making them better.

One detail at a time.

Sofie Royer is a Californian-born, Austrian-Iranian artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Vienna.

Her fourth album, before/after was released via Stones Throw Records and blends indie pop with baroque influence, stemming from her classical background having studied with Konservatorium Wien, playing violin and viola. Sofie has opened for artists such as Belle & Sebastian, LCD Soundsystem, AIR and Lana del Rey.

"Vienna is my favourite city in the world", reflects Sofie. "I get overwhelmed very easily, and with other cities it was very chaotic for me... your quality of life becomes so pertinent to your work, and how you are able to create."

Ahead of her European tour dates, we sat down on a cold afternoon outside Kleines Café to talk hits, heritage and unlikely sources of inspiration.
