TLDR pt. 3: Life/ career update for y'all!

Stock Goblin has 3 shows this month:
- 4/18 Firehouse in Worcester
- 4/20 Woodstock Show
- 4/27 Springfest

@stockgoblin has a really fresh set, so if you haven't seen us in a bit pls come! We played Bishops Lounge last weekend with @rustbucket.official and @bsharamusic and we made the obligatory trip to Whatley after. Please enjoy the clip of B'shara too. His set was amazing. Thank you to UPC as well for having us at the UMGT show on 3/26 and all the other contestants. Very cool atmosphere to be a part of.

Also if you haven't already, please check out @themayorofamherst new EP called "Mom's House" on all platforms! I mixed it and it came out phenomenal. Blessed to be a part of it.

I've been working on a song with @heloisegoncalvess too, and recently I recorded drums with B'shara as well as some upright bass with my coworker Sam. Both of those were awesome experience to gain and also fun as fuck. I can't wait till it's out for everyone to listen to. It's shaping up really nicely!

Went home for Easter and while I was on a walk I got to see my old elementary school as rubble. I had a weird transient feeling wash over me while I walked around seeing such a formative place for me in that state. Memories came back to me from when I was like 5-10 years old that I hadn't thought about in years. Felt like God or the Universe or whatever was showing me that nothing lasts forever. It hit me perfectly. I understood that It's unhealthy to hold onto things that are meant to pass. It's best to just feel what it feels like to see a building that you have sentimental value attached to in ruins but let it go in the end. Nothing can take away the experiences I had there. I'd be foolish to try to fight the relentless passage of time. Time spent there made me who I am and the effects of that will be felt with every move I make and every thought I have.

Oh, and there's a @the.howlers.band EP in the works that I may or may not be involved with, but you didn't hear that from me lol.

That's all for now! I'm super busy but I wouldn't have it any other way. Grateful for all the opportunities I'm getting. Thanks if you read this far ❤️

About a year ago I made one of the toughest decisions of my life to take my own path as an artist. It was honestly super scary, because for years before that I felt like my future was always certain, and that I’d succeed by following the same plan I had laid out for myself at 18. This is probably the last time any of you will hear me talk about it, because the path that seemed so terrifying at that time is now, just the way my life has become. Being a solo artist probably seems intuitive to most people, but for me, I had to relearn everything. I spent months just hoping I’d feel comfortable enough again to climb back to the confident flow state I always had on stage, or the feeling of purpose and harmony when I wrote a song. It was really hard for me, and I promise none of it was easy, it still isn’t.

But that decision that actually scared the shit out of me at the time, is one that I know look at as the best decision I ever made. Because what’s more exciting than an uncertain future? And from pressure comes diamonds. That immense pressure that I’ve had pushing down on me this whole time took its form as “Mom’s House”. This EP means a lot to me. It’s an ode to the duality of frustration and comfort I’ve felt living in my home town my whole life. But it’s also so much more than that. It’s me, proving to myself, and to all of you, any friends, fans and family, that I have what it takes to still chase after what makes me happiest. Mom’s House is my first attempt at a cohesive project, and it gave me the opportunity to finally creatively direct a project in an authentic way that is just… ME!

I am a solo artist. I’m Shmu. But I promise you this did not come together as an effort from just myself I have so many people to thank.
