Late last night my friend kev sent me this picture taken yesterday at the shop, in which I’m showing aaron and esther a dress from #junyawatanabe’s winter 1995 collection (prompted by esther first looking at a coat from the same season). I really love the picture. There are so many layers and colours and and it’s funny the way I’m leaning one way but holding the dress in the other. Or as kev put it —>

“I love it
All in action So much colours
Aaron double tote up”

Seeing the picture also prompted me to reflect on relationships. Obviously, they’re a huge part of what makes life living in the first place, and also of what I find rewarding about the shop: it allows me to meet and get to know so many lovely and interesting and beautiful people that I wouldn’t otherwise. If we take Aaron for example:

We met because kev (who took that first picture) is good friends with edward, edwin, and jacinto who run @108warehouse (also lovely people, and always worth a visit if you’re in sydney), and they in turn are good friends with aaron, who then visited our old space a flat shop. I don’t know Aaron very well really but but he’s someone it’s always a pleasure to see + have a chat with when the opportunity presents itself, and whose success I’ve been so happy to witness from afar.

Kev also pointed out to me recently (somehow I hadn’t noticed?) that for the last few years, aaron had used a visitor photo taken at the old a flat shop space as his instagram pic (pic was changed some time in the last few weeks, RIP). Simply *taking* the visitor photos brings me so much enjoyment, but it’s particularly special to sometimes see the people in the pictures enjoy them, too

The broader point is just, I am so grateful for the connections that I’ve established with so many of you, that are possible either solely or even just partly because of the shop. Sticking with just yesterday; it was also really lovely seeing you hayden and sam, eli, and (albeit without speaking much) bridget, jemima, and shanai. You’re responsible for many of the memories that have lit up my life the past few years and it is a pleasure and a delight and an honour and any similar word you might care to nominate

3日間のポップアップにご来場頂いた皆様、そしてFAチームの皆様、本当に有難うございました。

年明けから始まったこのプロジェクト、2年前に彼らに出会ってからずっと一緒に何かやれたらいいねって話していてようやく実現出来ました。

数えきれない程のミーティングを重ね、今回 @108warehouse を東京へ誘致出来て本当によかった！

俺のブランドフィロソフィー"WE'RE PROUD ASIAN OWNED BUSINESS"を体現出来た最高の3日間でした！

また来年の夏もやれたらいいな。

Just finished our final day of our pop up with Hamers Wholesale and Future Archive Beams. We just want to say thank you to everybody that came to visit and support us. We are so grateful to everyone who came and we were shocked by the turn out ❤️

Thanks to @_senyahamada_ , @mayawtnb_ , @kou99999 , and all the future archive team members, couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with.
