We had a week to pull this off. We wanted to put a message out to the world - keep films in our state, stop Paramount from leaving California, keep film/TV work here and bring us more.

Not even an hour after finishing the setup, we found out they closed a deal - Paramount will stay, and they will produce 30 films in our state.

There’s power in movements, in activation, in pressuring legislature, and speaking your voice when in matters.

We don’t take for granted when someone opens up to us. That shares a story they’ve never told anyone.

During our prep for the ‘Beyond The Miles’ series with @guenergylabs & @runchachi (the main subject in one of the films) the word “poderosa” came up.

“Poderosa” means powerful, strong, resilient in Spanish. We quickly recognized how authentic it is in relation to Cristina’s story.

I believe the most relatable stories are the aspirational ones. The ones where the person is working towards something, still becoming.

In this film, Cristina shares a few things she’s learned about herself along that road. Things that others might learn about themselves, on their own journeys.

I think, the difference between saying something and telling a story is how you present information.

Through half of this project with @guenergylabs ,we got to work with @tuvshin_nomad.

We went beyond the surface of just a chronological list of events in his life.

So, we were able to put the pieces together to best tell a story.
