POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday was the @mpcollective24 walk with an artist talk from @wolfgang_gallery_ , who joined us to speak about his career, his photographic practice, and his experiences documenting Manchester through the 1990s.

Wolfgang shared work made around the city during a period of huge cultural and social change, giving us a glimpse into a Manchester that feels simultaneously familiar and increasingly distant.

I took these shots on the walk (except the one of me which was taken by @photos_by_anth_anth_anth). Lots of vibrant colours and golden sunshine. A massive thank you to Wolfgang for giving his time, sharing his archive and speaking so openly about his career, and to everyone who came along for another brilliant MPC afternoon.

See you at the next one on 12/09! 📸

I had an amazing time on Sunday at @lightspaceleeds open day. Big thanks to @gettdunked and @ellywelphotography for making it happen.
These are some of my favourites of the incredible photographer @edwslr - He’s also an amazing person and kindly let me capture these portraits of him outside. ✨

Shoulder Pain: Why It Happens & How We Treat It 👐🏽

Shoulder pain is one of the most common reasons people seek help in our clinic. The shoulder is a beautifully mobile joint, but that mobility also makes it vulnerable. Whether your pain is sharp, achy, or radiating down the arm, it often comes from a mix of muscular, joint, and postural factors.

🔹Common Conditions We See:

* Rotator cuff strains or tendinopathies
* Shoulder impingement
* Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
* AC joint irritation
* Scapular dyskinesis (poor shoulder blade control)

🔹Neck & Nerve Referral

Shoulder symptoms don’t always originate in the shoulder.
Tension or dysfunction in the neck, especially the cervical joints and nerves, can refer pain into the shoulder, upper arm, and even the shoulder blade. This is why a full-body assessment is essential: we treat the source, not just the site.

🔹Posture Matters More Than You Think

Your posture changes the way your spine and scapula (shoulder blade) sit and move.
When alignment slips, the scapula can “wing” or tilt, forcing the shoulder joint to work harder. Over time, this creates a biomechanical imbalance, certain muscles overwork, others ‘switch off’, and tendons and joints start to strain. Movement becomes effortful instead of harmonious. And pain follows!

Headaches 🤯 We all get them, those nagging headaches that make it hard to focus or just get through the day. It’s not always About Your Football Team Losing ⚽️

But did you know they often have very mechanical causes rather than emotional ones?

Some common types we see in clinic:

🔹Myofascial trigger points around the neck – small, tight knots in muscles that can refer pain to the head.
🔹Jaw-related headaches – tension or misalignment in the jaw can radiate pain up to the head.
🔹Cervicogenic headaches – these originate from the neck and upper spine. Often linked to posture, desk work, or neck strain.
🔹Tension headaches – tight muscles around the neck, shoulders, and scalp.
🔹Migraines – intense, throbbing pain often accompanied by sensitivity to light or sound.
🔹Lifestyle factors like poor posture, prolonged screen time, stress, and even clenching your jaw can all make headaches worse.

How we can help:

* Osteopathy, cupping, acupuncture, to release tension and improve alignment.
* Guided stretches and exercises, to restore mobility, strength, and resilience.

By addressing the cause rather than just masking the pain, we help your body get what it needs: proper mobility, strength, and alignment so it can handle stress more effectively, long-term.

💡 Natural, tailored care for headaches, because your body deserves more than just a quick fix.

✨ Acupuncture for Pain Relief & Recovery ✨

Acupuncture is a powerful traditional therapy that helps alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and restore balance to the body.
By gently inserting fine needles into specific points, it activates the nervous system, boosts circulation, and releases endorphins, your body’s natural painkillers.

At our clinic, acupuncture can be seamlessly integrated with osteopathy, manual therapy, cupping, and rehabilitation exercises to support your full recovery.

💆‍♂️ Benefits include:
• Pain management: ease chronic pain, muscle tension & joint discomfort
• Reduced inflammation: support your body’s natural healing process
• Enhanced circulation: improve recovery & overall vitality
• Stress relief: promote deep relaxation & mental balance

Acupuncture can help with musculoskeletal pain, headaches, stress, and sports injuries.
During your consultation, we’ll tailor your treatment plan to ensure the best results for you.
