There is something special about watching your children become fascinated by an animal they had never thought much about before.

A few minutes earlier, gorillas were simply animals in a book.

Then a box arrives, a conversation begins, and suddenly they’re asking questions about rainforests, families, habitats, and conservation.

That’s what I love most about resources like these.

They remind me that learning doesn’t have to start with a lesson plan.

Sometimes it starts with curiosity.

One animal.
One story.

One small spark that opens the door to a whole new world.

This month, that world was the rainforest and one of its most incredible inhabitants: the gorilla.

How do you raise a child who loves nature? 🌿

I don’t think it starts with memorizing animal facts. I think it starts with curiosity✨

One book. One conversation. One adventure. One animal at a time.

This month, Leon got to discover sea otters through our monthly @edzoocation_box , and watching his excitement reminded me that a lifelong love for the natural world is built through small, joyful moments like these🤍

My hope isn’t that my children know the names of every species. It’s that they grow up caring enough to want to protect them.

Our @edzoocation_box sea otter mobile was a enjoyable project to work on with Rivers!

Rivers was geeked when all he had to do was come fantastic coloring. He actually was awesome at tracing the otter! I don't think he really wanted to color it.
