When photography becomes textile.

For the renovation of De Blauwe Salon in Huis ten Bosch Palace, Dutch artist duo Scheltens & Abbenes transformed photographs of personal belongings, historical artefacts and treasured objects of the Royal Family into extraordinary high defenition jacquard-woven wall coverings, realised in collaboration with EE Labels (EE Exclusives).

The result is a monumental still life woven into the walls: a richly layered composition in which personal memories, Dutch history and contemporary art come together in an unexpected way.

Raw Color’s ongoing investigation into colour interaction partners with Paper Collective to create two series of wall pieces.

The photographic series Paper Curves explores light and shadow on coloured paper, revealing how they shift its hue. The textile series Woven Geometry employs repetition contrast and rhythm to establish a sense of space across the works. Presenting these collections together invites visitors to wander and experience the pieces as a spatial sequence.

𝗗𝘂𝘂𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘄𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗴 𝗴𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗶 𝘇𝗶𝗷𝗻.
BLOK is een modulair paviljoen vol nieuwe materialen en bouwinnovaties die CO2 besparen. Een initiatief van Blink, Janssen de Jong, REVOLVE en Elementem, tijdens de @dutchdesignweek op Strijp-S.

Het paviljoen laat zien dat het technisch kan, en dat het comfortabel voelt. Hal2 stelde het interieur samen en bouwt het deze week op. BLOK staat bijna klaar voor de opening op zaterdag.

Vrijdag 23 oktober gaan we daar in BLOK verder over in gesprek. Wat is er nodig om circulair ontwerpen gewoon te maken? Kennissessie van 10.00 tot 11.30 uur, aanmelden via de link in onze bio.

This October is a milestone month for the studio. We are thrilled to share a month of new exhibitions spanning across Paris Art Week and Dutch Design Week.

We will be installing kinetic light choreographies at @boon_room Monceau and the our latest light installation Beacons of Hope curated within the @dutchdesignweek exhibition in Klokgebouw, a spatial textile installation in collaboration with @ncscolour and @other.degree , and revealing our newest textile series with @weeef.shop at @eeexclusives .

I made this artwork for The art of Raw 2024

This artwork is 2.5 meters long and woven in three layers: two transparent outer layers with a gradient woven into the center, creating depth through the construction itself.

Antwerp-based designer Lars Mertens transforms a single idea into deeply personal fabric. Working with @eeexclusives, he developed a custom jacquard — every yarn, every detail chosen for richness and depth.

The garment is finished with hundreds of hand-cut butterflies, individually placed for subtle movement and sculptural dimension. This is fashion built from obsession, thread by thread.
