Sometimes you need to slow down in life, take in the present, enjoy the people around you, and be thankful for everything you have. They always say it’s not about the destination, but the journey. For 15 years, I’ve lived out so many fall traditions — especially football — and now I’ve finally reached the destination of proudly saying I’ve concluded my career.
While things didn’t always go the way I planned, I can honestly say I wouldn’t have it any other way. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, my path has been filled with fellowship and family, and I struggle to find the words to express the gratitude I feel. With such a key part of my life now coming to an end, the one thing I know for sure is that I will deeply miss the journey. From grinding through workouts with the brothers beside me to the joy of celebrating our success, nothing warms my heart more than being able to call this journey mine.
