What does luxury mean in Asia today, and who is shaping its future?

As The Business Times celebrates its 50th anniversary, The BTLuxe Edit – Future:Legacy makes its debut as an inaugural symposium presented in collaboration with Schroders Wealth Management. The event brings together some of Asia’s most influential voices in luxury, business, art, design and hospitality.

Join an afternoon of thought-provoking conversations with industry leaders, including Lo & Behold’s Wee Teng Wen, Unlisted Collection’s Loh Lik Peng and YTL’s Francis Yeoh, as they explore the changing face of luxury, the art of placemaking, Asia’s growing cultural influence and the importance of building legacies that endure.

The event will also mark the unveiling of The BTLuxe Edit, a curated list of 50 individuals and brands that have helped shape Singapore’s luxury landscape and continue to redefine luxury for the next generation.

🗓️: 28 October 2026
📍: Shangri-La Singapore

Honoured to be featured in The Business Times @businesstimessg for the Official Launch of Hanwoo & Handon in Singapore.

This milestone reflects the countless hours of hard work, dedication, and belief from an incredible team that made it possible to bring Korea’s premium Hanwoo and Handon to Singapore.

My sincere thanks to Jamie @eejaimebt for the considered coverage and for thoughtfully sharing our story. It is truly appreciated.

Grateful for how far we’ve come — and even more excited for what’s ahead as we continue to raise the bar, deliver exceptional quality, and create meaningful products and experiences.🇰🇷🇸🇬

Cat is out of the bag!

Thank you @businesstimessg , @eejaimebt , @corinnekerk_bt , Suhaana Khanna, Guangzheng Ang and team for featuring my boss and banter buddy, @kkiatlim , on the cover for the autumn issue of BT Luxe that hit the newstands today.

The feature is beautifully done, with artful photos, a thoughtful editoral and an insightful video interview. Having worked with Kiat since his earlier days, he has always acknowledged on nepotism matter-of-fact and work doubly hard to prove his worth. The feature captures this well.

For those who are curious, the shoot is done entirely at the @rspdesigners HQ in Singapore.

Go get your copy of BT if you haven’t already.

Big thank you to everyone working behind-the-scene to pull this off - Tinaga Angkasa, Nadiah Farwizah, Michelle Tham, Christy Choe, Rahelia Febrianti, Charlotte Cuddihy, Vivian Loo, Max Ang, Beh Swee Chiew, Adeline Hwee, CK, Darren Gabriel Leow, Grego Oh.

BT Luxe Autumn edition is out in newsstands today, Friday Sep 19!

In our Global Players issue, meet savvy business personalities who are making an impact beyond their home base.

Hear from Kiat Lim @kkiatlim , the son of Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, who is fast establishing himself as a force in his own right. He tells us about his leadership style and plans for his stable of businesses that include RSP Architects Planners & Engineers, Thomson Medical Group and Spanish football club Valencia.

Meanwhile, find out how Naphaporn “Lek” Bodiratnangkura @lek_nai_lert , scion of Thailand’s Nai Lert Group, went from hard-partying socialite to savvy businesswoman.

Rounding up the trio is Stephanie Chai @steph_chai , founder and CEO of Luxe Nomad, who shares how she transformed her company from a flash sale website to the region’s luxury holiday rental manager.

Our travel-themed edition also takes you on safari to Kenya, train-spotting in Kyushu, wining and dining in Margaret River and culture-seeking in Kyoto.

Also, read our exclusive interview with iconic Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, then indulge in retail and F&B therapy with our features on watches, jewellery, whisky and more.

Don’t miss your issue of BT Luxe, which comes free with your copy of BT. Or find it online at BTLuxe.sg
