☆☆☆.5/5

This was a cute, quick read. I loved that it was set in a quiet Scottish village. I have read Raye's dark romances previously and really enjoyed so this was a no brainer when I saw her at RARE and the cute, autumnal looking cover.

I really liked Claire. Escaping to the village after a PR disaster, she works hard but knows that only she can change her life. She is hard-working, independent and knows what she wants. She wants a quiet way of life, somewhere she feels safe and can take control back of her life.

Owen, a grumpy Scotsman and boy, does he make you SWOON! He has been hurt in his past and is guarding his heart, keeping it close to his chest. He doesn’t want to admit his feelings for Claire and keeps pushing her away.

We have spice, romance, grumpy sunshine and more. It was a good read, easy and quick. Eventful for sure but it made the book.

This book sunk its hooks into me. Such a fun autumnal vibe set in a small Scottish town 🍁
If you are looking for a cosy read that still had Dom vibes I highly recommend this.
