Carve it backwards. Print it forwards. Feel extremely accomplished. Tomorrow, @albertacraftcouncil is bringing Intro to Block Printing & Linocut to Summer Block Party on Rice Howard Way with Edmonton artist Alex Mitchell of @effulgentfriends Start with an idea, learn how to translate it into a printable design, carve your lino block by hand, roll on the ink and make your own print. Paper is supplied, or bring a fabric item from home and give it a considerably more interesting Saturday. Simple designs are encouraged so there’s time to carve and print. Fruit and vegetables are very much on theme. Tiny produce masterpieces, here we come. Saturday, September 12 11 AM to 4 PM Rice Howard Way Ages 10+ All materials provided 15 pre-registered spots available Register through the link in bio. Come for the programming. Stay for the block. Leave with something you made yourself. #SummerBlockParty #OnTheWay #RiceHowardWay #DowntownEdmonton #YEGEvents #YEGArt #BlockPrinting #Linocut #AlbertaCraft #YEGMakers

We’re still thinking about our Customer Appreciation Night and the incredible energy you all brought to the salon earlier this month. It was one our biggest turnouts yet; a true joy to reconnect with old friends, welcome familiar faces and meet so many new ones, too. Looking back, we’re reminded (again!) how lucky we are to be part of this community. Thank you for celebrating with us, sipping bubbly, shopping local and helping us kick off the holiday season in the most beautiful way. - Photos by @MiaVVT #BeautyParlourYEG #YEGSalon #YEGCommunity #CustomerAppreciation #YEGEvents #YEGBeauty #SupportLocalYEG #YEGSalonLife #ShopLocalYEG #YEGStyle

While the rest of the world rushes through their weekend, something different is unfolding at Mercurius this weekend. This Saturday, our space transforms into a gathering place for Edmonton's makers of the mystical and the meaningful. Three extraordinary artisans. One talented reader. Live soundscapes as afternoon melts into evening. And you – if you're ready to discover what local magic looks like. WHO'S CREATING: 🌙 Effulgent Friends (@effulgentfriends) Think of them as joy architects working in wearable form. Their accessories don't just complement your outfit – they complete your energetic signature. For the ones who refuse to blend in. 🕯️ Wyde Eyed Creations @wydeeyedcreations What happens when you marry flame with stone? Intentional alchemy. Each candle holds a crystal ally, turning your daily ritual into something that shifts energy, not just ambiance. 🔮 Aumbra - The Sage of Shadows (@thesageofshadows) Some readers tell you what you want to hear. Aumbra tells you what you need to know. Deep. Real. Unfiltered wisdom from someone who walks between worlds with authentic grace. THE SOUNDTRACK: 🎵 Shakoki Sounds (4pm-6pm) (@shakoki__sounds) As the sun begins its descent, the vibration shifts. Live sets that understand how sound shapes space and guides energy from day consciousness into evening contemplation. Stop by this Saturday. Wander. Browse. Meet the makers. Maybe get a reading. Stay for the music if the vibe calls you. We'll be here 11am-6pm, ready to welcome you. ⏰ 11am-6pm 📍 12330-106 Ave NW (below Transcend Coffee) just off @shop124street 💫 Free entry #MercuriusCurio #TheMercurialPopUpMarket #YEG #LocalArtisans #RealMagic #EdmontonCommunity #SaturdayPlans #SpiritWithinMatter

The merch for @purplecityfest is pretty #OOAK with all the acid wash wear made in house, but if you need some ventilation or a different kinda flow, find me modifying tees on the third floor of @fmhyeg This Saturday and Sunday Sept 6+7 between 2-7! So many rad vendors came together and I can't get over how much character and vibe this venue has. Bring the shirts you buy this weekend, or tuck an old favorite into your bag to prep. I have my scissors at the ready. ✂️ #yeg #dıy #purplecityfest
