#CUARTOAZULWORLDTOUR @aitana @cuartoazul.wt

For the latest installment of The Process With series, we step inside the making of Fernanda Castro’s ( @efimmero ) knitwear project with @ifmknitwearma x Dior’s knitwear department.

The concept began with memory. Fernanda’s family upholstery store, and a fascination with tassels and ornaments.

What followed was months of experimentation: translating decorative motifs into knit, building tassel-like structures by hand and machine, sample after sample, until the final piece came together.

The project was developed within a pedagogical partnership with Maison Christian Dior Couture, with no commercial scope.

From Peru to Paris, Fernanda Castro Rios (@efimmero) is rapidly emerging as one of knitwear’s most exciting new talents. A master’s student at the @ifmparis, her work was worn by @rosalia.tv during the LUX Tour stop at the Accor Arena in Paris.

Blending meticulous craftsmanship with unexpected materials and sculptural silhouettes, her work offers a distinctive vision of contemporary fashion. Read our interview with Castro as she reflects on creativity, cultural identity, fashion history, and the confidence to trust her own artistic instincts.
