⏳ How Fast Does Fitness Decline?

You don’t lose fitness overnight…
but you do lose it faster than most people think.

In this clip from our Preseason Training episode of Between Sessions, we talk about what actually happens to your body during a break from exercise — and why easing back in matters.

Research shows:
• Aerobic fitness can start to drop in as little as 2 weeks
• Strength begins to decline around 3–4 weeks
• Jumping straight back to 100% increases injury risk

The good news?
Fitness also comes back quicker than it first took to build — if you return smart, not hard.

🎙️ NEW EPISODE DROPPING

The food pyramid has changed — again.
But what does that actually mean for real-world eating?

In this episode of Between Sessions, we unpack the new nutrition guidelines, what’s different from the old model, why the changes were made, and what experts (and the public) are saying about it.

We also ask the bigger question:
👉 If less than 10% of people follow dietary guidelines, is the problem the pyramid… or the way we live?

No fad diets.
No extremes.
Just practical, evidence-based conversation to help you make better everyday choices.

🧠 Time to Rebrand “Exercise”?

In this clip, James Rickard challenges the way we think—and talk—about exercise. For many, the word comes with baggage: pain, pressure, and unrealistic expectations. But what if we rebranded it into something more inviting, more empowering… something people want to do?

If you’ve ever struggled to get someone moving (or to get yourself back into a routine), this insight could be a game-changer.

💭 Selling the Horizon, Not the Workout

In this clip, advertising expert James Rickard shares a powerful insight: when it comes to getting people into exercise, it’s not about selling the burpees or the sweat—it’s about selling the horizon. The feeling, the confidence, the energy, the life that’s waiting for them on the other side.

This is a must-hear mindset shift for anyone trying to inspire a friend, partner, or even themselves to take the first step toward better health.
