Okayyyy, for our FIRST Fire & Fairways Classic… we think we set the bar pretty high. ⛳️🔥

A little crisp? Sure. But the sun was BEAMING, the fall foliage was showing off, and the vibes were truly immaculate.

We kicked things off with the Star-Spangled Banner on an ELECTRIC GUITAR by our fitness director from Albany - Brian (iconic), had a DJ keeping the energy up, fresh cider donuts from @focastlefarm_countrystore , tastings, samples, and SO much fun happening throughout the course.

Honestly, this was exactly what we envisioned when we decided we wanted to create a golf tournament that felt a little different.

And the best part? We got to bring our community together to raise money for the @afcdf518 and @schenectadyffcancerfdn .

To everyone who golfed, volunteered, donated, or helped bring this event to life, THANK YOU. We couldn’t have asked for a better first year.

And to our incredible sponsors who helped make it all possible:

@jamiemazuryk @ncphoto.518 @highnoonsunsips @luckyonelemonade @hartagency @longdrink @schenectadymuni

We’re already thinking about next year… because how are we NOT supposed to do that again?! 😂

Fire & Fairways 2027, we’re coming for you. ⛳️🔥

Ever wonder where your fundraising dollars ACTUALLY go? We did too.

So our @bestfitnessclubs Events & Community Team took a trip to @danafarber Cancer Institute to meet the researchers behind the studies our fundraising dollars are directly supporting.

And WOW. What an experience.

From groundbreaking research on brain MRI screenings for breast cancer patients to clinical trials, international collaborations, and innovative approaches to cancer care… we got a firsthand look at the work happening behind the scenes.

We even visited the Zakim Center, where fitness and movement play a role in supporting patients through their cancer journeys. Something that really hit home for us.

But our biggest takeaway?

The money we raise isn’t just a number on a donation check. It’s helping fund real research, led by real people, working to change the future of cancer care.

So when you show up for a donation-based class, attend one of our events, or contribute to our October fundraising initiative, THIS is what you’re helping make possible.

And we couldn’t be prouder to share that impact with you.

10 clubs. Different communities. One mission.

Check the link in our bio to see how you can get involved this October!

Our events + community team took a field trip to @danafarber today to meet with their team, take a tour, and speak with the doctors who are putting our October fundraising dollars toward incredible research and initiatives. 💕

Stay tuned for the video recap, but we're leaving Boston with full hearts knowing the work we are doing in our clubs is impacting the community.

Join our fundraising this month across all of our clubs with specialty classes, merchandise, and more. 🫂

72 HOURS INTO B-LEAN AND I HAVE THOUGHTS.

First of all, I wasn’t even going to do this challenge.

But @rachel_meach , who I absolutely ADORE, convinced me to join the team and here we are.

Apparently I’m very susceptible to encouragement from people I love.

And while the first 72 hours have been fun, they’ve also pushed me outside my comfort zone in ways I wasn’t expecting.

Taking before photos. Getting on the InBody scanner. Seeing numbers that I’ve spent YEARS trying to separate from my self-worth.🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

I want to be transparent about that because even as someone who works in fitness, teaches classes and genuinely loves moving her body, I still struggle with body image.

Not every day is a confident day. Not every number is easy to look at. And sometimes the hardest part of a fitness challenge has absolutely nothing to do with the workout or the food.

But I also know how far I’ve come, and I’m learning to approach these things with curiosity instead of criticism. My body is so much more than a number, and I can work toward new goals without forgetting that.

ANYWAY, IN OTHER NEWS:

I baked something that DIDN’T SUCK???? Which honestly deserves its own transformation photo. 💀

AND one of our coaches’ daughters voted for me on our gym’s haunted house board for who would survive the longest. Thank u @kaitlynnicholson20 for birthing Ivy.

She was the ONLY person who voted for me.

But you know what? Sometimes all you need is one person who believes in you.

So that’s where we’re at.

72 hours in. Slightly uncomfortable. Surprisingly domestic. Apparently capable of surviving a haunted house. And excited to see what the next six weeks bring.

I’m not doing this because I hate where I’m starting. I’m doing it because I’m curious about what I can accomplish with a little more structure, accountability and support.

Follow along for the next six weeks of B-LEAN.

Maybe I’ll learn some things. Maybe I’ll get stronger. Maybe I’ll win $1,000.

Maybe I’ll just become a woman who can bake.

Honestly, any of those would be a win.

What a night at Frog Alley Brewing!

A special thank you to our amazing sponsors including Best Fitness for hosting the event and Harding Mazzotti, LLP for ensuring everyone had a safe ride home.

Also thank you to our raffle prize donors and Local 11, you all played a role with helping bring everyone together for a great night and an even greater cause.

We’d also like to thank our friends at the Albany Firefighters Cancer and Disability Foundation for continuing to stand alongside us in supporting firefighters and their families.

And last but not least, to everyone who came out, thank you for being part of our mission. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our community and everyone who helps make events like this possible. Every event, every donation, and every person who shows up helps us continue supporting firefighters and families impacted by cancer

We’ll see you all very soon!

DM me “GOLF” and I’ll send you the registration link ⛳️You can also grab it right from the link in my bio!

Okay MY PEOPLE, I’m calling you in.

We only need a few more foursomes to round out Fire & Fairways, and at this point I am specifically recruiting the FUN ones.

Think one last really good day of golf before we surrender to winter.

Peak fall foliage, music on the course, food + drinks, Bloody Marys + mimosas, prizes, raffles, on-course entertainment and swag bags that have absolutely no business being this good.

And while the day is going to be a PARTY, the reason behind it is even better. We’re raising money to support local organizations helping Albany + Schenectady firefighters impacted by cancer.

Also, selfish request from your resident content girl:

PLEASE COME GIVE ME CONTENT. 😂

I need the golf-cart DJs. The dancing at the tee box. The unnecessarily aggressive celebrations after one decent putt. The friend who is significantly better at having fun than they are at golf.

You do NOT need to be good. You just need three people you’d willingly spend a Saturday with and a commitment to the bit.

Come golf. Come hang. Help us raise some money for an incredible cause. ⛳️
