A NEW SEASON IN MOTION · 2026/27

From our home at NSP Studio in Sandvika, Nagelhus Schia moves into a season of talent development, artistic collaborations, national and international touring – and the beginning of a new creation.

We start at Bærum Kulturhus, where young dancers from DanseFOT meet professional dancers from Nagelhus Schia in In C by Sasha Waltz.

The performances celebrate DanseFOT’s 10th anniversary – and a long-standing collaboration built around something deeply important to us: creating real artistic encounters between the next generation of dancers and professional working artists.

28–29 August 2026 · Bærum Kulturhus

Then our production Thrice, choreographed by Damien Jalet, continues its journey.

Following its premiere and international tour in 2025, the work meets new audiences across Norway and Europe this season:

5 September · Bodø Biennale
3–4 October · Torinodanza, Torino
21 October · Stavanger Konserthus

And in January, the journey continues to Paris, where Thrice will be presented for seven performances at Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse.

22–29 January 2027 · Chaillot, Paris

In between, dance, music, architecture and visual art meet at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in Piano Actions – a six-hour site-specific work initiated by composer Nils Henrik Asheim, created in collaboration with Ultima, Henie Onstad and Nagelhus Schia.

19 September 2026 · Henie Onstad Kunstsenter / Ultima

And while existing works continue to travel and meet new audiences, the next chapter is already beginning.

This autumn, we enter the first creation period for a new work with choreographer Fernando Melo, leading towards its premiere in May 2027.

From young dancers entering the professional field, to new artistic collaborations, national and international touring, and the creation of new work – we believe in building artistic relationships over time and in giving works the opportunity to live, develop and reach new audiences.

From Sandvika to Norway and Europe.

We look forward to meeting you along the way.

The straw fan is now online. Its shape is inspired by the arum flower, like a thin sheet simply rolled up on itself.

Handwoven in Ghana from fine golden straw, it was designed as a light summer object to carry, wear and take in hand when the air gets warm.

Discover it on our website.
