We had a great time at our last one, and the vibes are officially continuing with our next Open Mic JAM on Sunday, July 19th from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM!
Huge shoutout to @visitlanccity for helping us make this series happen. We’re locked in for the rest of the season with our next dates locked in for August 16th and September 20th, so make sure to keep your calendars marked.

Want to take the stage? 🎤 Scan the QR code on the flyer or tap the link in our bio to sign up ahead of time. Spots are limited and are filling up fast! We’ve got a house band and full backline ready to go, so just bring your talent! @iamdjnews will also be spinning some tunes in between acts!

Coming out to watch? Make sure to bring a lawn chair, sit back, and enjoy the musical vibes!

We’re making this a true community hangout, so come hungry because we’ll have food trucks on-site all afternoon. If you are a local creator or business interested in vending, please DM us for more information on how to get involved. See you there! 🎸🥁

A little clip from practice today with Sounds of Valor. It’s so incredible to be able to play with such amazing musicians. The fact that I am able to turn off my brain, and just be says so much about these guys, grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

This band is the reason I started singing again, it’s the reason I practice piano every day, even though that in itself makes me want to cry (lmfao if you get it, you get it) and for that, I owe Tom Mooney, Michael Campbell, and Jordan Campbell for giving me such an amazing opportunity and being so open and loving from the very beginning.

I’m not perfect, I’m emotional and I take so much to heart, but I am so blessed to be here with people who genuinely care to help me.

If you’ve reached out in the last few days- thank you so much. I feel so much love knowing my community has my back in a way I never understood before.

We have TWO shows coming up!
July 3rd- Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park 7-9PM
July 4th- Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Pier Side, NYC
•11:30AM-12:15PM
•1PM-1:45PM

🤍AND🤍

If you are looking for some live piano and vocals- head over to Bagpipers in Allentown tomorrow from 7-9PM!! I would love to see you there!!! 🩷🩷

I have not spoken about Sounds Of Valor, or really what the experience did for me and I want to start sharing what I can say now looking back, little by little and on my terms.

First of all, I did not recognize how fucking cool it was to work with Marc Ribler. I’ve never seen someone so musically connected, and I mean on a soul level, but also emotionally understanding of what the room and the band needed at all times.

Secondly, production was filled with some of the kindest people on this planet. I was always comfortable to share, to experience, to express. That is not something to create easily, and I’m so grateful for that.

Lastly, to the band. I have found such hope where I thought there wasn’t any, happiness where I felt there was none left, and love from the funniest and most talented people I know.

When I don’t want to practice, I remember you guys. When I don’t want to get out bed, I remember you guys.

Thank you for being one of my reasons to stay, I love you guys.

I am so lucky to walk this path of recovery, and share a portion of my story. Sounds of Valor has pushed me back into performing, returning to what I once swore off, and I have had nothing but joy in my life ever since.

Oh Tom Mooney, you saved my life. And it didn’t even need saving this time. 🤍

That’s a wrap on Sounds of Valor. 🤍

February 27th and 28th, 2026, was unforgettable! The energy was unmatched at the 5th Annual ‘A Celebration of the Evolution of Black Music!’ We had a blast honoring and celebrating Black music. The amazing talent of our cast and musicians did a phenomenal job! We also want to thank the Ephrata Performing Arts Center for allowing us to have our show in their theater for the third year. We are grateful for all the support shown to us! 🎥🔥: @wehyeproductionsllc @newboy.jai #theater #celebration #blackmusic #blackexcellance #lancastercountypa
